The only vacuum I’ve ever had that was as good as my old Electrolux cannister
I’ve only had this machine for 3 weeks, so I realize it’s early to write a review, but my only question so far is “Why did I wait so long?” Along with the machine, I also bought two extra accessories to round out the ones that come with the vacuum: a long, flexible crevice tool and a small hand-held power brush for stairs and automobile carpet, both of which are superb. So far I’ve filled two bags full of dirt because my previous vacuum(s) left so much behind. The vacuum is a marvel, really: light weight, easy to maneuver, and relatively quiet for its level of power and suction. The handle on the extension is extremely well designed, and all necessary buttons are either at your finger tips or the light touch of your foot. I’m not generally a bells and whistles sort of gal, but this time I invested in the model that gave me the top-of-the-line power nozzle with what I thought would be silly, superfluous LED lights. What a surprise! The lights illuminate dirt, debris and lint that don’t show In regular light, and now I wonder what I did without them.I can't speak for the lesser models, but the one I bought is manufactured in Germany, and it is beautifully engineered and well thought-out. The bags and filters are a cinch to change, and the seal on both must be fantastic because the inside of the bag chamber stays entirely clean and dust-free.I have only one small complaint, and I mean small. One of the vacuum's features is that if you decide to place the power head in an upright position, the power head will stop while the motor continues to run. This is really convenient if you simply need to bend over to pick something up or perhaps adjust a cushion, move furniture, etc., without having to stop and start. The only problem is that you don't have to lock the power nozzle in place for it to stop, and sometimes, while in the process of vacuuming, the power nozzle will stop rotating if you allow the position of it to become too vertical during normal vacuuming, usually when you pull it toward you. As I said, it is a tiny complaint, and I'm already learning to adjust my vacuuming "style." All in all this is one of the best vacuums I've ever owned in all my 50 years of housekeeping, rivaled only by my old Electrolux cannister, which is long discontinued. My husband is an engineer and was skeptical about dropping this much money on a vacuum cleaner, but I think he has spent more time using it than I have. He is impressed with its design, quality, and efficiency. He especially appreciates the no-bending features for turning the machine on and off and for retracting the cord, and he raves about the ease and cleanliness of changing the bags.So - it’s expensive, but boy! Is it good!

Best vacuum I’ve ever owned
For years I was a dedicated Dyson owner, I’m not sure what has changed but the new ones are not the same they don’t work as well and they definitely do not hold up like the older models. I tried a couple of Sharks and wasn’t a fan. My husband told me that a couple of guys at his work we’re talking about a German made vacuum their wives had and absolutely loved them. So after doing some research I landed on the Miele. Now here’s where it gets tricky… I researched a little too much lol. I got so bogged down in reviews that I literally had decided not to buy the vacuum because I couldn’t decide which one I wanted. I don’t normally do reviews but I wanted to do this one because what finally helped me decide was to get on YouTube and watch videos about the different models. The deciding factor for me was which head I needed. Because I have pets I definitely went with a powerhead. All models have the same motor. Cord length isn’t that different. Attachments really aren’t that different. The main thing is to which head you need. If you only have bare floors then you don’t need the power heads, if you have carpet but not that much or don’t have pets you may not need the electric powered just the vacuum powered may be enough for you. Once I decided and got my vacuum I can’t say enough good things about it. I’ve never had a vacuum with this much suction!! And everything about it is easy. I truly hope this helps if you’re having trouble deciding like I was because once you make a decision I think you’re going to be very happy. Even though these vacuums are expensive they are worth every penny!

This vacuum makes me angry...angry at every other vacuum I wasted my money on in the past. It is vastly superior in design and construction quality to anything I've owned before.I purchased the Miele used on Amazon. It was advertised as very good condition, but it was indistinguishable from brand new. This was a very pleasant surprise after a recent experience purchasing a "like new" rainbow vacuum that arrived filthy.Pros:--Very strong suction--Shockingly quiet...mind bogglingly so given the power--Rolls behind you so easily it almost seems like a little robot following you--Super convenient tool storage on board--Easy to carry with the handle--adjustable length tube in the power brush is really nice--Power brush is very maneuverableCons:--The turbo upholstery brush shown in the pictures is not included (extra $70)--They don't make a motorized upholstery brush for this model. The turbo brush which you can buy separately is air-powered. Usually those are worthless but I'm hoping Miele worked the same magic with the turbo brush as they did on the vacuum (just ordered mine). In summary, this thing is amazing. The price is high but you do actually get what you pay for in this case. It's still cheap compared to Rainbow for example, and SO superior in every way. I can't imagine anyone not loving this vacuum.
