Taste was just OK.
Was disappointed in this tuna product Was supposed to be chunks. It was more like ground. Will use it for casseroles, but will not buy again. I prefer tuna back in oil, not water.

That is a lot of tuna!
This is an enormous bulk can of tuna. It opened easily with a standard can opener, and was nice and full - though as with all canned tuna, there was water that had to be drained. It's a little tricky with such a big can - next time I'd probably just drain it through a colander.I believe the tuna itself is skipjack (the most common tuna variety labeled as 'chunk light'). It has a nice, deep pink color. I wasn't sure what the quality was going to be like since I'm not familiar with this brand, but the fish is fresh, tasty, and I didn't encounter any hint of bones or other undesirable material. I portioned it out into baggies to freeze since there's no way I'm going to be able to eat this much tuna that quickly!I'm pretty sure the liquid is included in the weight for canned tuna, and that seems to be the case here too. Since I was measuring it out anyway, I figured I'd record the weight. It ended up being approximately 48oz of actual tuna meat. All in all, for bulk I'd say it's probably not the best value, but it does seem to be quite high in quality. Even my cat approved! (No, I didn't give him a lot, but he does like a little tuna treat now and then.)

I did not think about how big this can is.
Okay. I had visions of making dog treats and some frozen meal prep for myself with this can, but I didn't really do the math. This is 4.15 pounds of tuna. So, it's taken me 3 months just to get a list of dishes together that can be frozen/stored/etc. so I didn't waste any of it. Works great for tuna patties (egg, cracker, tuna, onion, salt pepper). Good in tuna casserole and tuna salad. My dog likes the tuna treats I made (tuna, egg, water, oat or whole wheat flour.) This is an institutional size can of tuna, but at it's chunk albacore. It would be perfect if you're going to be feeding a large group of people and don't want to open individual cans. I won't be buying this again. Not because there's anything wrong with it, but because I now have an exceptionally good visual for how much 66.5 ounces of tuna is.

Cans came in bent and dented
The box showed no damage but cans were bent and dented.

That’s a lot of tuna!
I love tuna and this seems like it will take care of my needs for a while. This tuna is an institutional size and is more than I could use at one time. The tuna says it was line caught which is always a good attribute. I decided to make a tuna noodle casserole and it worked just fine for that. The tuna was nice and firm and smelled good. With all the left overs I made tuna patties in the air fryer and flash froze them for the freezer. Now I have a good supply of meals for future use.Very happy with this product.
