Tunnock'sTea Cakes Milk Chocolate 6 x 24g

First fell in love with these cookies on a trip to Scotland. They were available everywhere! Came home and tried various versions that were.... not good. Found the original on Amazon and have ordered them several times. Always arrive fairly quickly and always fresh and tasty

I recently returned from London where I bought the cakes at the £1 store for, you guessed it £1. They were delicious and I wanted to order more for my whole family to enjoy. The ad cleverly shows 6 boxes of cakes. The description states 6. Even though the price is double what I paid in London I thought it was worth it. Imagine my surprise when the box arrived with 1 package of tea cakes. I feel like this is false advertising. I won't buy from them again.

Full disclosure: I bought these tea cakes for the sole reason that they're mentioned in my favourite Scottish TV series (”Still Game”..it is so good! Watch it. Buy these tea cakes, brew yerself a nice cuppa, and watch it. Call it self-care, if you wanna. That's exactly what I do lol)Not thinking clearly, as it was most definitely one of those impulse purchases, I ordered these from overseas during summertime and was pleased that they arrived still intact. A few had collapsed, but stayed intact thanks to the foil.Most importantly, according to Jack Jarvis, I'm a psychopath like Victor McDade because I flatten my Tunnocks foils instead of balling them up. I'm reviewing these weeks after their arrival, so the only photo I can share is of the foil I saved lol. Tasty little things. Absolutely worth a purchase by a silly fan of a great series.

The tea cakes are delicious! But be careful! The picture and item description note that you will receive 6 packs (36 cakes), but I only received one pack. I'm only giving 5 stars because the item was great, and the seller took responsibility and refunded my order. Customer service is important! If you're up for the gamble, order the tea cakes and see if you get your 6 packs. If you don't, at least you know the seller will work with you. 🤷🏽

Unfortunately the teacakes were ALL stale. I ordered 5 boxes and ALL of them were stale. It was such a disappointment to me and my family. We love the teacakes and treat ourselves about once or twice a year. It looked like this particular order came from France so I don't know if that has anything to do with the staleness or not. The staleness affected the texture of the marshmallow filling as well as the cookie part at the bottom. Very disappointing.

picture is misleading as it shows 6 boxes and description says 6 pack.. It is just the 6 cakes in one box, not a package of 6 boxes as the picture might lead one to believe. Read the item description carefully..tracking was crazy.. got notification pkg was delayed. Royal mail did not have record of the tracking number. contacted seller and they did quickly reply -- to check usps tracking (was a RM tracking number). USPS initially returned they had not received pkg from shipper.. then after couple of days, they updated they had it. Will take partial blame for being to quick to jump trying on seller that showed they could get these in for Christmas (the estimated shipping was b/w 7-16 Dec and did get them on 19th - ordered 25 November) and using phone to shop.. but the picture for the item is misleading. If look closely at the order selections, it switches to a pic of one box and they are actually for multiple boxes (sets of 10, 2, 3 or 4 - no 6) and mousing over does not show the qty's. You have to click on each for full desc. Deducting stars for that, please update the picture to accurately depict what is being sold. These are for a gift so cannot comment on taste or freshness of this box. There are also some smashed cakes in the box (see through window on pkg).. not sure how, since the box appears fine.

I had never had these before and wanted to try them. They arrived in a reasonable amount of time, considering customs and travel and once I received them, I was definitely not disappointed! They were a little banged up from the ride across the pond, but delicious all the same. Would definitely recommend this seller and these tasty treats!

These are delicious. Don’t be alarmed by the calories, which are listed at 440. That is for 4 cakes. The item is relatively inexpensive but shipping adds significantly to the costs. This is something that can’t be avoided but it would be nice if there were mor economical options. I tried to order early this spring so they did not melt during shipping. They arrived without melting but looked like the USPS had used the outer box as a soccer ball. This in no way reflects on the seller. While a few of the cakes had little squish factor goin on, they are still as tasty as ever.
