Got this for hubby and he says it was easy to put together. The bonus is that it's metal, which makes it more durable and look higher-end.

I loved building this! Its my favorite car and was a joy to build and display.

Don't go by the photo on the box, this gem is real die-cast metal with a great, glossy candy apple red paint job. Super easy to put together by just snapping things together. A set of screws holds the body to the base. I like how it came with both matte and shiny chrome wheels. Great for display or just a nice desktop toy. Nice tribute to a classic car!

Overall, this is a good replication of the 1957 corvette. Assembly was fairly easy except when using the machine screws to secure the chassis. Since the recesses where the screws go were not threaded beforehand, you may need to put the screw in place first, give a couple of turns to create the grip needed to actually tighten it in place then proceed. Be careful everything is plastic or thin metal. This was the only issue with an otherwise good purchase.

I disagree with the customer that only rated it one star. It was probably luck of the draw there with however it was made in the factory. I purchased mine about a week ago and had it together within an hour. Only reason it takes that long for me is that I am totally blind and, right now, on medical leave for other medical reason. This was my forth and certainly not final purchase of these and love them. They are self explanatory as to how the part feels in my fingers. I have to do everything by feel and everything is soooo simple for me to figure out in a hurry. This one and an El Camino I bought are my perfect ones so far. Parts fit right on this one and looks like I picked it up from a collector's store. Certainly not my last!
