Crystal Mineral Deodorant Stick, Unscented, 4.25 oz

In late middle age I developed an allergy to all deodorants/anti-perspirants: even so-called hypersensitive, additive free brands caused a painful rash. It was with some scepticism that I tried this product but it has turned out to be the perfect answer to my problem.Not only does it cause no irritation but it is a highly effective deodorant which is easy to apply, dries rapidly and doesn’t stain clothing. I find it effective for the whole day.The stick costs more than most conventional deodorants but lasts far longer (18 months of daily use in my case) so actually works out cheaper.I find it easiest to apply by wetting the end under the tap before using under the arms.I wholeheartedly recommend this product.

Does the Job, I smell after 5 hours using normal deodorant and my T-shirts are finished after a days wear.Using this, I have no foul smell at the end of the day... unless I have a long day.So what I now do is use this along side Coal & Magnesium schmidt' S deo stick, works like a charm.I originally found this product just looking for a strong deodorant, then stumbled across the natural cosmetics movement, so learning about aluminium in conventional deodorants was an eye-opener.wore this all day and my clothes smell relatively good, a friend recommended using this with a natural roll on for a complete formula against the pits haha

I’ve been using these (on and off) for several years and used properly, they really work. This one is still going strong, months after I purchased it. Just a couple of things to be aware of:- don’t ever drop it! If you do, you’re likely to crack the “crystal” rock it’s made from and it’s just not possible to get it smooth again and then it will be too uncomfortable to apply with jagged edges. The second thing to bear in mind is that you should spend time applying it a lot. A good twenty seconds at least under the armpit! Make sure it’s very damp when applying. It dries quickly though and you will get zero odour on any of your clothing - if applied correctly, it literally kills all odour-producing bacteria on the skin for at least 12 hours, sometimes 24 hours if you haven’t got hot. If you get very hot, however, it will start breaking down more quickly and become ineffective. But for a normal day and outside of excessive heat causing you to sweat profusely, it will totally work. Personally, I use an application of talc on top but obviously that’s not necessary!

Finally I've found something that works! Ever since menopause I have experience body odor. I prefer the natural route and have tried many different brands and even returned to conventional deodorants none of which worked for any length of time or they had scents which made me nauseous. I saw a woman chatting online about the gross side of menopause and on the topic of body odor she recommended this Crystal deodorant. I was sceptical having tried other rock salt deodorants but, oh my days, this really works. No smell, not even after a walk in my warm winter coat. It seems that it will last ages but I'm going to order a couple more for fear they will become unavailable in future. You're welcome!

The potassium salt deodorant is smoother and more bubble-free than the ammonium salt one, and this is made from potassium salt. The other potassium salt one that is popular is Salt of the Earth. Having just smashed a nearly new SotE in the washbasin I'm very pleased that this one, though slightly more expensive, has a case design that makes dropping it much less likely. It's got a good chunky plastic case, and the top doesn't roll when you put it down! It's well thought out.I've been using alum deodorants for some years now, and I've found no downside to them. The important thing to do is to wet your underarms and not the crystal; otherwise you will get sore.

I'm very happy with the performance of this antiperspirant, I'm not sweating at all and it doesn't leave any mark on the clothes. Unfortunately I was looking for a natural anti-perspirant that don't contain aluminum, and although they say in the package that it doesn't contain aluminum chlorohydrate, it is made of potassium alum, which in contact with water (it's the way you use it) breaks into ions and then is absorbed in the skin. You can search for studies about alum and illness. So, just make sure that you know that before buying.
