I have various physical ailments that make it extremely painful to use ice trays, and my fridge doesn't have an ice maker. So I was looking at ice makers and decided to give this machine a try. And I am extremely glad that I did. The machine "Just Works." Fill the reservoir with clean good quality water (I use filtered water from a filter pitcher), hit the power button, and within 6-10 minutes you'll have your first ice cubes. I live alone and this machine easily makes enough ice to satisfy my daily needs. Every night before bed, I empty the tank and dry it out with paper towels, then in the morning after I've had breakfast and coffee, I fill it and start it up. By the time lunchtime rolls around I've got a good supply of ice, which lasts me throughout the day. If you have a large family (say, 2-3 or more people) or want to use it to make lots of ice for parties, etc., then you'll probably want to look at a bigger model. However if it's just you (and maybe one other person) then this machine is more than big enough. It is noisy but not horribly so. If you were sitting right next to it all day, it might get on your nerves, but I normally don't hang out in my kitchen so it's not a problem. Note that the first 2-3 baskets full you make will taste a little bit plasticky, even if you wash the inside of the machine as directed, so either throw them out or melt them and use them to water plants or whatever. Very happy with this purchase, and I highly recommend it if you are in the need for one.

Takes several cycles to get cold enough to make ice properly. Helps if you put ice water in the reservoir. Other than that, it does what it should do. The one thing I didnt take into account, (the product page never claims it does this either, this is an error on my part) it doesn't keep the ice cold. So you end up with ice thats melted on eachother and if you transfer this to a freezer, a few hours later you are left with a big mass of ice cubes that require being broken up. My solution has been to just throw it all in a bag and throw it on the ground (like the lonely island song.) Holds enough ice for about6 cocktails on the rocks until the sensor shuts it off.

Love this ice maker!!I bought it to use in our RV but, I have been using it in my house since I don't trust our water quality to use the built in ice maker in my fridge. This thing does such a great job. I love ice in my drinks & a lot of it. It puts out the ice fairly quick. I fill my ice maker bin with ice from using this at least one day a week. It keeps me stocked in ice. I would buy this again. Love the color too. Seems well made.

So far no issue and it makes ice fast. I had a crew working on the house so I had it set to make ice to throw in their cooler. I'd empty the ice maker every 45 minutes because that is how long it took to get full. It's on a 7.5-8 minute timer. I'm happy with it. Could use a little more insulation though. The outside of the ice maker is cool when it's full of ice, so it could have better insulation, but still for this price, it's a good deal

This ice machine fits nicely on the countertop next to my coffee maker. It kept up with our needs over a 90 degree weekend. Most days I only need to make 2 or 3 batches to keep our ice basket full. I do shake off the water prior to putting in the freezer. That minimizes the sticking together. The size of the cubes fit nicely into any water bottle.

I’ve only had this for a few weeks, but i run it almost all day every day and it’s been great. I had a different brand before but it quit working after 3 years. I like this one so much better! It is smaller (but still makes the same amount of ice), quieter, and faster.

Makes small batches of ice really fast. You cannot use it to store the ice for a long period because the bucket containing the ice is not refrigerated or insulated. You can transfer the ice to your main freezer which I do, but after it’s been in the freezer for a while, you have to break it up because it’s not as cold and has some surface moisture on it when you remove it from the machine. If you have heavy needs for ice and with a lot of ofpeople coming over this would probably not be a good thing. It runs constantly-when the ice is full It will stop making ice for a while, but because the container is not insulated very well, the ice in the container melts and it uses the melted water to remake the ice.
