Through guidebook for Excel
This book advertises itself as a beginner's guide to Excel, and I can say that after reading this book that is absolutely true. The book covers basics like what a cell is, what a row is, and what a column is. This is the foundation of knowledge you will need to build on later. And this book does build on that knowledge. The author covers more advanced topics like charts and tables. I liked that the author also provided several examples of how Excel is used in the "real" world. I thought this was well done and it took these abstract concepts and actions and applied them to situation where they are actually used. I think this is a well done tech guide.

No Tutorials, not helpful at all
This book is nothing like described. I changed jobs and now have to use Excel more frequently with pivot tables, charts, etc. I was looking for something that would help me get up to speed in those areas. This book is definitely not it. It will not get you to expert in 7 days. You'll be lucky if you learn how do a formula. For example, its only 97 pages long, but includes a 2 page introduction 3 pages for the history of Excel, 3 pages explaining where to find it on the web, and another 2 listing all the excel file extensions. Then there is a 3 page conclusion and its all in 16 font. So there is not a lot of room left for content. As far as I could see there were no tutorials or hands on examples as promised; just a lot of definitions. Honestly, it felt like it was written by a robot. Do yourself a favor and find a free tutorial on linked in or microsoft's website, this is not going to help you at all.

Mastering Excel
I use Excel every day for work and in my personal life and I like to read up on it to make sure I am aware of the latest features. This book is great as a refresher for regular users or a good book for new users. It goes over all the basics such as getting started, using the Excel interface, how to use formulas, the various functions in Excel, and more. There are lots of tips and tricks and keyboard shortcuts as well. I really enjoyed the section about tables and charts

Excel basics, just the basics
Acquired this to learn than the skimming of basics I know of excel and get more formula data. Barely picked up anything New to add to what I knew. Good explanation but needs better visual examples and some more formulas with examples of uses.

Great for beginner or refresher
This book is an easy read. The explanations are detailed, clear and percise. It explains and summarizes various aspects of excel like what is a tab, what is a ribbon, formula bar and so on. It even mentions the history of excel too. There are some pictures in the book. The font is large. There is 96 pages. I am glad I purchased this book because it explains the aspects of excel. I am not too familiar with excel so that is why I find this book very helpful.

Do not buy! Waste of money!
Delivered 3/7/2023.Do not waste your money! Do not buy!* Black and White illustrations are tiny print and fuzzy. I took a picture with my phone, which my phone automatically improves the clarity--so, my photo above is better, clearer than book image.*Book is widely double-spaced and extra large print, and is 97 pages--therefore, the pages would be much less if printed and formatted in normal book format.*Amazon description states self-published, so maybe that's why it looks like a picture of a picture of a picture.....poor quality.*Per the picture on the book cover, I expected the book to be color and high quality format and content--and large, color illustrations that are usable and user friendly.*This book is a joke!*Amazon should not be selling junk!
