My dog (35lb mix) had a hard 6 weeks before he got to me and has struggled with behavioral problems his entire life. Sometimes he’s aggressive for no discernible reason, it’s like his brain chemistry is off. Could be bad genetics, could be his early puppyhood. Either way, he can snap at you at the drop of a hat and resource guards items like his life depends on it. I have noticed since starting this food 4-5 months ago tht the instances of this aggressive/insecure behavior has decreased both in frequency and severity. I also give either a calming hemp treat or hemp oil with his dinner and that helps as well. I have heard feeding this formula and adding on the calming care probiotic is more effective if you can afford to do both! :)

I bought the wrong kibble. My fault. It’s too big for my little puppers! I just didn’t think about that when I bought it. But the sellers let me exchange the whole bag to their usual pro plan food. Just like that! I’m impressed. And a happy shopper. And will pay closer attention to what I buy and will keep buying from these guys, as I have been so far. A happy dog, a happy…. Dog momma I guess 😄

I have an almost 9 month old golden doodle who is crazy beyond all belief. We do give him calming supplements and those help a little bit. I don’t want him comatose or anything but I would like him a little bit more calm at times. He likes this food. He ate it immediately. As far as seeing results, you have to feed your dog this for at least three months. We are talking every day regular feeding for three months to actually see results. If I notice any other changes or calming, I will definitely update this review.

A long time ago our vet, Dr. Elizabeth, said she was all for companies such as Purina and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend some of their foods. Larger companies pour their money into researching their product and it most certainly shows in this Purina Pro. My little girl, Weezer can definitely benefit from this food. She’s anything but a calm dog, but I will be using this to supplement her regular prescription food.The ingredient label tells me a lot. I love it because it’s short, sweet, and contains everything Weezer likes to eat and what I like to see. The mix of high-quality protein like chicken will be good for her. Chicken is the first ingredient, a great sign. The protein level is high at 26%. If you have an elderly dog, you may wish to take a pass as it could stress the kidneys. Weezer is now a middle-aged dog and most certainly an active one. The smaller bites are also what we like for her.

Do you research online before feeding ProPlan to your dogs. My perfectly healthy Service Dog died within 2 weeks of starting this food.

Sorry, my picky eater still prefers chicken. So , one meal of chicken and one of this. She eats it when hungry but flings out the peas.

I have a weirdo 55lb lab mix who will sometimes walk away from food when it's meal time. Sometimes I have to hand feed her! (She's hungry, but won't eat. Such a goof.) I had been feeding her a Blue variety, but she got to sample Hills when I was taking care of my son's dog and then she wouldn't eat the Blue any longer. She will often eat the hills without a topper, though it got to the point where I always needed it for the Blue.I offered her some of this and some of the Hills, and she gobbled this down, and left the Hills untouched.One of the things that attracted me to this food is that my dog tends to be anxious and I've been using the Purina Calming Care for a few months now, and it seems to help. So I have the sense that Purina is really working on helping anxious dogs, and although this is a different approach, I want to see if it will help her still more. Alas, this small bag is not going to get me through the 12 weeks needed to see a change, but the fact that she likes it means I can explore that route, so I'm going to get a larger bag. Fingers crossed!
