A must-have for Jim Morrison fans! It has a CD of Jim talking (and on some of the CD you can hear a woman's voice in the background that sounds like Pam). I was so excited to look through this book for the first time and I look through it almost every day! Styled as more of a coffee table book, but, this does not detract from the content of the book. Included are copies of his report card from grade school, some song lyrics written in Jim's handwriting, his last will and testament, and the official report of his death in Paris. These copies are made to look as if they are the real thing and are placed in "pockets" throughout the book and can be removed for a closer look. These are just a few of the things included that can be removed. It has some awesome photos! Superior look at Jim from childhood, the height of Mr. Mojo Risin and his death in Paris! First ratebook for any hardcore Morrison fan or for someone who is just interested in a look at Jim's life.

I got this for myself for Christmas... best christmas present ever!It's a collectors item and the most indepth look into a legends life. Starting with even his Elementary school report cards, to childhood letters to his mom... all in pockets throughout the pages that you can take out and hold, just as if it was the real deal! I don't want to spoil it for you, but if you are a Jim Morrison fan then you MUST treat yourself to this.

As other reviewers have said, this is a beautiful book! It truly is a scrapbook and throughout, pockets appear on a page that contain handwritten poems, report card, photos and more.I came of age in the Jim Morrison years and as people often do as they age, we reflect on our lives. Jim and the 60's, 70's are part of a memorable reflection. I am so glad to have been a teen during those years and having seen The Doors live in concert.Loving care was taken and I'm pleased to read that Jim's dad, Rear Admiral Morrison, and Penny Courson commissioned the creation of the scrapbook.For any Morrison fan, this is a must to add to your collection.

I'm a longtime fan of the band and have been collecting Doors memorabilia for many years. Until recently I had never seen this piece before. It's very interesting and comes with a lot of cool stuff. So if you’re a huge fan as I am, I encourage you to try and get your hands on one of these.

This is hands down the best book on JM, not so much The Doors but just Jim. It has a poetry cd, pull out photos/documents etc.. It really is a scrapbook. If you are a JM fan this is the book to have hands down, there is no other, this is it!This book is now out of print I noticed. Nobody has "new" copies. Get yours while you can, some marketplace sellers have new ones with slight shelf ware or a marking for very cheap($16-20). I would definitely recommend picking one up before they are obsolete and all that is left are truly used copies and with those don't expect to get the cd, all the pull outs as they will likely get lost or damaged.

I was surprised when I opened the boom up and saw all the mementos, drawings, Jim’s handwritten lyrics. It’s filled to the brim with information about Jim Morrison and hands down the best book about him out there!

Just loved this book....Morrison at his best and worst. I am a big Doors fan and I truly enjoyed this book....Doors fans or not will enjoy this book!
