Great budget gun vise
Works well, clamps my different rifles with ease. I like the little storage compartments for organizing parts as you are removing or installing. Would defiantly recommend for a basic budget friendly gun vise.

Great!
Sturdy, easy to assemble, and holds rifles firmly when cleaning or performing other maintenance tasks. Integral trays and slots are great for holding solvent & oil bottles, patch boxes, loose patches, bore brushes, bore mops, and jags. It also can hold two assembled cleaning rods which makes switching between small and large bore projects easier. Would definitely recommend this.

Works well for a plastic vice.
Pros: Will hold rifle for basic work like cleaning, scope installation, scope zeroing etc.; anything requiring the rifle to remain relatively stable but not locked down. If a task requires absolute stability and rigidity you'll probably need to upgrade to something higher end, but for basics this vice works just fine.

Great product
Chaps were at a great price however, the wrong color came. I got green instead of the color here.

Broken in shipment, but they sent a replacement part w/o question
A great product for the price. There is a small bit of plastic that retains a spring in the moving arm. It broke off in shipping. I contacted the vendor and they shipped the replacement. Outstanding customer service, and the only reason I gave it 4 of 5 for sturdiness is this little thing seems like it would break pretty easily. Otherwise outstanding stuff, thanks.

Not Bad, but Should be Upgraded
The Tipton Gun Vise is a basic vise with good features, but it does not have enough room or adjustability to accommodate various long guns and shotguns with pistol grips or magazine wells. Tipton makes good products, but spend more money for their upgraded items, especially if you will be working on detachable magazine-fed or modular systems. Otherwise you may find this vise to be inadequate for your needs.

Glad I bought this!!
Have already mounted a rifle scope using this vise and it makes cleaning rifles a breeze. Love the parts tray in the base. Highly recommend.

Been Wanting One for a While
And it's so worth it! Perfect size and shape for bolt-action rifles, and for break-down AR-15s. If you need a cleaning vise, this one will do for the price. It could be improved, however. There is wasted space between the cleaner holders. Really should be a big open space, and we can use it as we wish. There are notches on one side for a cleaning rod. I use two rods (because it's faster), and there should be notches on the other side as well, because again, it's wasted space. I notched the other side with a jigsaw, and cleaned up all the burrs with a blowtorch. And there needs to be a handle. I will use a router to carve out a couple of holes so I can be left with a handle and clean it up with a blowtorch.I made a vise out of scrap wood and a couple of long bolts and a turn-buckle years ago, and even I figured this stuff out. Tipton are you listening?!?
