SSKI is used to cure a systemic fungus called Sporotrichosis (some call this Morgellons) . SSKI, saturated solution of potassium iodide was the go to remedy for skin and various disorders from the early 1900's until around 1970 when it's usefulness was replaced by more technical and expensive remedies. Google searches will give you a lot of answers for SSKI as a fungal remedy. The reviews I have read conclude that 20 drops in juice, taken by mouth, 3 times a day for a period of 10-12 weeks should cure the fungal infection. Q: Is it a dark color like lugols when mixed?

No, it is perfectly clear when mixed. Since it has no preservatives, the color change tells when it has aged out. It is UV reactive, so longest life comes when kept from direct light. In our experience it lasts 6 to 7 months after being mixed, and will slowly go from clear to a golden hue, and after time it will turn a decidedly brown color, signalling that it is time for replacement.
