Something I never knew I needed
This little sanding finger is one of those things that I wouldn't of ever thought about until I got a Fein Multimaster. I wanted to be prepared for anything that may come up on a siding replacing project on our house. I knew that when pulling off old caulking around windows that it was very likely that the old window frame and sill could use some sanding. I already had a larger triangular pad, but after looking for other sanding attachments, I found this. It is Great! It is small enough to fit in those small tight areas that larger sanding pads will not fit well. It's nice being able to angle it to fit right into corners. It will get right up to the edges of the cracks and crevices. This sanding finger is a real time saver. It's definitely worth adding to any tool collection with a multitool.

Works well
The pad works will with the Multimaster and is convenient with the Starlock system. A problem, which is not unique to this product, but with all hook and loop pads is under heavy use the pad starts to melt and no longer holds the sandpaper. The solution I use is buying a roll of wide two-sided hook and loop straps, cutting it to shape and using it as a sacrificial pad. This works well and saves the original. My only other complaint is that Fein products are over priced. Right now there is not a third-party market for the finger pads or main triangular pads using the Starlock system, so I'm stuck having to buy Fein products.

Great for tight spaces
It arrived in perfect condition. It does a great job sanding in tight spaces where the standard sanding pad cannot reach.

It does not hold up well
It wears out rather quickly and doesn't grip the pads as long as the larger version 2x2x2 does. It is fine for light duty sanding but not for heavy duty work I have gone through8 of these so far, many times after one use.

Just what I needed.
Works great! Ifirst bought one of the cheaper finger pads I found here & it didn't last long. This Fein pad is worth the extra cost & I was able to use the sand paper from the first junky one.

Backing Pad Is Junk.
I have used about 6 of these up in less that 90 minutes. The tips loose their velcro after minimal use and some lost the the plastic under the velcro with the removal of the sandpaper. I called and complained to Fein and the rep said they hadn't had any complaints but I can see from the reviews that others have had the same problem. It would be a fantastic product if it had at least a bit of longevity.

Melted immediately
I was just trying it out after opening the package. I put a 40 grit finger sandpaper on and the tip of this backer melted onto the back of the sandpaper in about 10 seconds. It's obviously completely unusable now. The package comes with two of these finger sanding backers and I'm not going to bother trying the other one, they're just going back.

So far, I'm happy and passing along an FYI
I ordered this to try on my Harbor Freight tool. Most times when I've tried name brand "universal fit" tooling, they just don't quite fit the old HF pin spacing. I expected the same with this. HOWEVER, the hole spacing on this little pad, fit quite well and bolted up just right. I put on one of the Fein sandpaper forms sold for this pad and tried it all out. Worked just as I had hoped. Now, I don't know how it will hold up or if the hook/loop will work long term, but I probably won't use this set up very often and then only briefly. I did notice that the HF tool's spring washer was a little too large for the recessed area on this pad where the attachment bolt fits, but I just substituted a smaller flat washer and a lock washer. I only ran it for a few minutes and tested on a piece of poplar I had lying around, but it seemed good. ANyway, if you're looking at this to use with a HF oscillating tool, go ahead, without reservations. There's no reason I didn't give it 5, except for the fact that I only tested it briefly and can't say about any sustained use.
