this was insane to replace , remove belt and power steering to get to a sensor , really poor placement on fords behalf . but the product worked like it should .

FIT BUT….
It fit on a 98 Mustang 4.6 but it didn’t fix my issue sadly, reason why I bought it was due to OME being old and cracked thinking it might be the issue

Great Replacement
The connector for my sensor was damaged and as an added precaution I opted to replace the sensor itself while I was in there. So far it has worked wonderfully. My truck has not missed a beat!

JUST DON'T DO IT. This is one time were OEM is your best choice.
If you are replacing this, it is because your car won't start or the engine is misfiring so bad that you can't drive it. Now, ask yourself if you want to experience this problem again in 4 months and exactly 1000 miles after replacing this part. I have a 2004 5.4L Ford Econoline. For the first failure (original sensor), the engine would crank but not start. There were no codes. If while cranking, the tachometer does not move then, your CKP sensor is failed. When this Dorman part failed after 4 months, it threw a code P0320 along with two other codes for cylinder misfire. I bought the OEM sensor and the problem was solved. Replacement is not trivial on the 5.4L engine. You need to loosen the serpentine belt and move the A/C compressor (3 bolts) to get the space you need to remove the sensor. You don't need to remove any refrigerant lines. You might get lucky and when this sensor fails and it will be in your driveway. Do you really want to take that chance?
