Best garlic press ever
Best garlic press. The original aluminum Zyliss press of 1948 was perfect. Somehow lost mine and nothing has been half good ever since. Reasons this new is wonderful: tight fit makes for fast powerful crush of the clove. The Star is its self clean out feature. Presses always leave a fine film in the bottom of press. The top part detaches to become a snug precise scraping tool to quickly cast aside that film. Stainless steel construction comes out of the dishwash gleaming. Happy to have a product experience this perfect.

Garlic press
It works pretty well. Not as easy to clean as advertised. Probably would work better if you go ahead and peel the garlic first. I like the course grind. I find that the fine grinds are too mushy.

Trust the reviews; this is a great garlic press.
My wife and I enjoy cooking, and multiple regularly-cooked recipes use a clove or two of garlic. Anyone who has cooked with garlic will know that it is fiddly to peel completely, and is an inconvenience to dice small enough to not leave large chunks in the final meal.I have window-shopped for a decent garlic press for a few months before purchasing this one. I finally convinced my wife that a simple, two-piece construction was worth it for ease-of-use and cleanliness, with the rust-resistance of having no nooks or crannies. Just last week, my wife finally admitted that yep, this garlic press was easily worth the money and has made dealing with cloves brain-dead simple. She wasn't against the idea, but just felt bad spending $20+ on two pieces of metal designed to only really deal with garlic, and it's understandable. This press is easy to grip, with a matte finish on the handle portion, and the press surface is easy enough to clean.

Don't believe the video
Well, it does make quick work of pressing garlic through those little holes and also squeezes some juice out. But it does NOT smash garlic through those little holes with the skins still on the garlic. Smash the garlic and remove skin before inserting into press. Don't expect a lot from this manual device. Don't buy this unless you are a male with above average hand/wrist strength. I would NOT recommend this to a senior citizen.Video is deceptive.
