The magnet is strong and I can open and close the refrigerator door without worrying about it falling off. The only time it did was because I accidentally knocked it! It scoops a very good amount of ice - perfect amount for an ice cold drink! I also love the color for some added personalization to my kitchen. This ice scoop is the bomb--it doesn't get too cold, it's the perfect size and shape for pouring ice into drinks, and the tip is tough enough for breaking up ice pieces that are stuck together.
