Just wash the wound with soap and water and then dry. Then apply this antibiotic ointment to the area and put a band aid around or on it. I have done this without antibiotic ointment, and it does not heal as well. This simple ointment protects the exposed wound against invasive bacteria. I would buy this again.

This is my go to antibiotic cream, I use it often which is why I buy in large quantities. You cannot be surprised, and it does the job. Is it the best out there, no.Bottom line, it will fix you up in a pinch whether it's a human or animal, I have used on both and had a decent results. It stops infection unless it's a very serious thing, always go to your physician or veterinarian if you are unsure of how bad your injury is.

High quality cream I use for scraps and cuts. It doesn't seem to be to greasy. It does help to keep the scraps from getting to dry and tearing back open. It helps with the pain by being there to keep things moist
