MajesticRoyal and Langnickel Long Handle Paint Brush Set, Filbert, 7-Piece

I own a large variety of brushes ranging from Kolinsky sables for oils and watercolors, the Bob Ross Collection, the Terry Harrison Collection, and many others. I have been searching for an oil/acrylic brush set with a medium stiffness for control, but soft enough for beautiful detail without lines and scratchiness. I first tried the Royal Majestic line in watercolor brushes when they were handmade to order. I still use those brushes on a regular basis. They have never lost their shape. They do not shed nor fray, and have excellently made ferrules and handles. These have turned out to be just as great as the watercolor brushes. I am delightfully pleased. The price is excellent as well! Where else can you find a long handled brush, sizes 4 - 24 for under $35. This is a pack of seven a great range of sizes. They fit everything that I needed. I was not disappointed at all. I was totally impressed! By the way, to keep them looking nice when using acrylics and oils, clean then with Murphy's wood oil soap and water then dry them with TLC.

I researched and searched the web for hours trying to find the best, yet inexpensive, paint supplies for a beginner painter. Who wants to spend tons of money on something they aren't sure they are even going to like or be good at? Anyway, after being on the fence over a few different sets, I settled for these. I chose them based on the variety of sizes and a good review. They hold their shape well and feel nice in my hand. I actually use them for watercolors. I couldn't find a set of brushes dedicated to watercolors that came with large brushes (size 10 and up). I actually use the larger brushes more often than the smaller ones. They don't leave hairs on my work and they hold paint and water well. I'm very pleased with my purchase!

These brushes are amazing! I studied water color painting in high school when I took a college preparatory class years ago and I don't know why I stopped painting but I did. About three years ago, I picked it back up again but using acrylic paint this time. I was using Liquitex paints which aren't very rich in consistency. The brushes I was using were cheap and flimsy. That being said, I didn't have much to go on purchasing these Majestic Royal brushes--except the great reviews! I took a leap of faith and purchased them and as soon as I opened the package, I knew I made the right choice.They are durable, relatively easy to clean and make you feel like a rockstar painter, regardless if you are a student or professional. Get these brushes! You won't regret it!

Great synthetic bristles, well shaped, hold out well, good ferrules. No stray hairs on the paintings.Frankly I've only bought a few good brushes (I never saw a difference between the cheap ones and the expensive ones when I did mostly watercolor). I'm pleasantly surprised by the difference I see working with these. This is the first time I've used mainly filberts in my paintings also.I'm using these for Golden Open acrylic paints and for watercolors. I am finding much more control and better color load with these when used with the watercolors. With the acrylics I'm just gobsmacked. Where have these brushes been all of my life. They are perfect for the Open paints and wash up well afterwards.It will be a while before I buy anything else.

Decent brushes, nice spring, not to firm, not to soft. Nice paint on the handles provide non-slip grip, ferrules are nicely fitted and tight fitting. A good buy at the price.

These brushes have been great for adding soft, lovely details to my oil and acrylic paintings. The large flats and rounds also make great watercolor brushes for laying down a flat wash or wetting a background area. They are not overly expensive, nor are they cheap. I have used them with all three mediums and have been very pleasantly happy with the results.

I use these brushes a lot
