I wanted something thin, because the thick ones looked like they could raise the seat height and I didn't want that. When it came, I thought maybe it was too thin. But figured I'd give it a shot. I've rowed 2x, 40min each with the pad and I can tell it makes a difference. I like it. It didn't shift or move, and it didn't cut into my legs or anything. I would recommend this to anyone looking to make their seat a little more comfortable. I hope it holds up!

While I have used this pad on my erg, I mostly use it on the water where I've used it for both sweep rowing and sculling. It grips the boat seat really well so I have no issues at all with it slipping while I am rowing or getting out of the boat (my only issue has been when I've gotten into the boat clumsily.) I've nearly lost it a few times when I forgot it was there and lifted the boat out of the water overhead. (It grips but has it's limits! :-)It's thin and easy to slip into the back waistband of my tights or pants while carrying the boat to the water.I have an issue with something that feels like nerve pain on one side when I sit in the boat for a while. This pad helps some and I suppose would work better in that regard if it were thicker. But I'm sticking with it because a thicker pad will affect my height in the boat and my oar handles which I don't want.

This pad fits like a glove on my Concept 2 rowers-I got one for each. There is just enough cushion for comfort-but not too thick or squishy. Some reviewers have fussed about it being too thin- for me they are perfect and almost look like it was original from the factory. No sliding around either on the seat when you are bringing on the heat of a long row.

Been rowing for a week. 30 min sessions were a hard on my butt and lower back. Just finished my first session with this pad at 60 min 22 s/m maintained the entire time. No pain. Lower back is worked with no abnormal pain. I never review items… Ever!

I should have read the product info a little better. I thought that it was going to be more secure to the seat. Not just have grippy material on the bottom. Pretty disappointed. It really doesn't stay in place very well.

This was a great add my rowing machine. It sits right in top so no real installation required. The material on the bottom side holds it in place without slippage. I have rowed 80k meters so far without it moving on me. It adds just enough cushion that my tush doesn't hurt after a long row. Easy to take to the gym if you are using someone else's machine.

I spend 45 mins every day on the rower and my butt was in pain after each use. After going through different options, I decided to order this one. I was disappointed of how thin the pad is when I first received it. But I am so happy after using it for almost a month. Even though it feel very thin, I feel perfectly fine after my daily exercise and I think it may not work as well if the pad is too thick that it raises the level of the original seat. In addition, the bottom of the pad is rubbery so it does not slip with my moment. I highly recommend it for concept 2 users.
