Great and reasonably priced
Gets job done.Easy to hold, has speed adjustment. The dust collection bag is useless as it's not filling up with dust, but I didn't have too much hopes for it anyway.

Worth the price and good sander
Solid build, as expected. Does what it needs to do, not for a professional use but does what it is supposed to. The variable speed is useful, nice and light. Overall happy with it so far.

Solid sander - good choice for round the home.
Needed a disk sander to smooth out the walls of the kitchen before painting. Looked at a range of different ones and went for this as they reviews looked good and it was a decent price. The sander is sturdy and came will a range of different grades of sandpaper disks which was helpful admin could get straight away. The sander made me small but it definitely packed a punch. What was taking me forever to do by hand this sander was completing with ease. The dust trap is effective. If like me you are sanding plastered walls you will still get a lot of dust, however the trap collects a fair amount. At one point I forget to put it on and couldn’t see the end of the room for dustThe adjustable speed is good, however I couldn’t see a huge amount of difference between each setting out from the lowest to the highest you could.I’ve also used it to sand down an old wood seat I have outside. Again this made light work of removing the old paint.I was also given a polishing pad which I have attached and used to polish up my table which has worked a treat. My only criticisms is the ON/OFF switch. One I had used previously had this located in the handle whereas this one is on the front meaning you can only hold the sander in one hand as you switch it on. If you were to drop it the sander would also keep running whereas a switch in the handle would cut out the second pressure is reduced.Over all a great buy.

Timesaver
I wish I'd thought about buying one of these at the start of my total house redecoration.I used this straightaway to smooth some challenging bumps after filling in socket holes.I used the 80 grit and the result was amazing...to a girl who's hand sanded for all these months. What a godsend! The sander feels robust and I've used it on speed 3. Like others have said the little collection bag/ box is a bit useless but I had success with taping a fabric bag on it. It was quite successful. It is a messy job though.I think the rougher grit discs are good and the finer ones should only be used on very refined surfaces as they will clog quicklyI will use them on flat doors before reglossing.I hope this is helpfulPs wear a cap !

Cheap and cheerful orbital sander
Decent Orbital Sander. Bought last June to sand down pallet boards for use in a garage/man cave bar. I'm writing this review after 8 months of ownership and usage. Unfortunately it died on me today so I've come to purchase a replacement. Was impressed with the sander to start with but there were soon a few issues that emerged. Firstly the dust collector doesn't do a brilliant job, doesn't massively bother me because I grew up around sawdust in my dad's workshop and it'll clean up afterwards but was hoping it might last longer than a few uses before it starts to leak.Secondly disks just seem to lose grip to the pad after a few uses. This was more annoying as the disks weren't even worn and just wouldn't stick any more. Resorted to buying cheap disks as the replacement pad is half the price of the sander! Finally, I've had it 8 months now. I have been using it today when all of a sudden it just cut out and died and won't work at all. Changed the fuse, nothing. That being said, it was a £30 Orbital Sander. I've sanded probably 300+ rough sawn bits of timber, it's sanded through grime and oil stains. For the price it's done well, just wish it would have lasted longer.

Variable speed setting with this sander!
I bought this orbital sander after my previous orbital sander broke after relatively little use. I decided to opt for a much cheaper orbital sander ( this Hychika orbital sander is less than half the cost of my previous sander) on the basis that I woul have "less to lose" if this new item also failed after little use! I was also tempted by the fact that this sander has variable speeds, & frankly that is why I am so pleased with it's performance. (so far!) This sander is about as noisy as all other 'palm" sanders I've used;- not unbearably loud but ear defenders are definitely recommended. The fact that this sander can be started with a low speed setting & increased as required is a real bonus & has meant that I've been able to exert much more control yet have felt as though the sander is "doing the work, not me"! For this price I'm pleased with the performance so far. (I'm just a DIY enthusiast, I don't use a sander every day)
