ME ENCANTA!!!

Me encanta tocar guitarra y definitivamente compraría 5 más de estas jajaja… es una guitarra para alguien que lo usa más que para un pasatiempo, su sonido es suave y su peso es ligero

The C5 is great. Best classical understand $1k

The veneer back and sides, the varnish, and truss rod make this a very durable guitar that is resistant to temperature and humidity changes. The solid spruce top gives great volume and tone. Spending more on a classical will leave you with a more delicate guitar.

Quality a good price bad customer service from Córdoba

I bought this guitar per recommendation of a person who is a guitar player, musician, teacher and luthier I am a beginner, the guitars looks very well made, sounds very good, it came with a little defect from factory but too small that is doesn’t bother me, the expert check it and his comment was all positive, I am enjoying it, sound very good, we just replaced the string for a better quality, recommended for beginnersUp date 4/25/24. The small defect mentioned before is getting bigger I will contact the factory.Up date 3/26/25 After the first contact with the factory in California and after sending all the information requested to proceed with the warranty nobody contacted me even after so many emails and calls, the guitar was never fixed, quite disappointed with their service.

I like this guitar

Like a lot of guitar players I own too many guitars. I didn't own a classical guitar however, but I wanted one. I started doing research and didn't want to spend a lot somehow I ended up on this one -- and a used one was listed for a really good deal and I bought it. My original plan had been to buy it on a different site, but ti was a deal and I'm glad I decided to buy. My only complaint with this guitar is the frets need some file work (something that the other site I had thought of buying it one would never have shipped). Anyway a little work and this is just a good sounding fun guitar to play. I dig it. Good sound. Great looking. The onboard tuner/electronics are handy. It is very cool for the money.

Poor build quality

1. The frets are not cut to widthh and sharp as a grinder knifes when moving the palm along the neck.2. The lacquer at the lower rim edge leaked and created a narrow strip with rough touch. It looks like the guitar top is slightly extended over the sides / bottom and it's not sanded to fit._____I was looking for a better build since the sale pitch suggests "hand made". But.. Maybe the more expensive models or " not made in Cina" is intened?Choose Yamaha for better quality all around.

Tried the C40 and C5, I'm keeping the C5

I purchased both a Yamaha C40 and this Cordoba C5. Packaging for both was minimal. The C40 arrived damaged but the C5 was OK. I thought the C40 was a decent guitar. It had a good sound and playability was good. It did have a strong smell of glue. The C5 on the other hand is a significant step up in quality. It also came with an allen wrench for adjusting the truss rod. It looks like a whole lot more care was taken in building the C5 over the C40.I think ordering a C40 is a hit or miss. If you can afford the step up in price, go for the C5. If not, you may have to order a couple C40s to find a good one. Anyway, I'm holding on to the C5, its a beautiful guitar with nice tone right out of the box.

Great guitar. poorly handled.

My low rating is for Amazon's handling and NOT the quality of Cordoba, which is fantastic! The fit and finish are non-parallel. Please read on to see my impressions of the guitar. To preface, I am not a first-time Cordoba owner, and my past experiences have been nothing less than stellar. Cordoba, in my humble opinion, is the finest maker of mass-produced nylon-stringed instruments available today - no matter the country of origin. One of their American-made guitars was rated in a magazine as one of the top ten guitars you would like to own. It is expensive but a fraction of the price of its competitors. My offshore built one arrived yesterday, and I was excited to get it, I love the small body and the presentation of the spalted maple. When I opened the box and pulled it out, disappointment extinguished my excitement. The fret edges were razor-sharp, the top is caving in where the fretboard meets the soundhole making it unplayable above the fifth fret because of the action. Within five minutes out of its cellulose wrapper, I started a return ticket.I've been a player, and a private teacher, for more than forty years, this isn’t my first rodeo, I've lost count of how many guitars have come and gone, and after checking the tracking history of this one, I knew exactly what happened. The instrument originated from an Amazon warehouse in a suburb of Phoenix, a city known for being conveniently located a quarter-mile from the sun, and humidity perpetually stuck in the single digits. Looking at the date code, it has likely been there for months. The wood has been robbed of its moisture, the telltale signs being the sharp frets and the top warping.Too bad Amazon doesn’t understand or have the facilities to care for fine instruments. It also explains the bad reviews from customers receiving broken or disfigured instruments. I feel sorry for the people who suffered the same disappointment I felt and feel bad for the guy who took a fret file to his new guitar.Right now, the guitar is in a case undergoing a humidification process. I will keep the return ticket just in case it can’t be returned to the pristine condition Cordoba intended. Please understand, Cordoba doesn’t make bad guitars, Amazon just warehouses them poorly and my rating will stand solely for Amazon's part in this. This is a beautiful, well-made instrument and from what I can tell from the brief introduction, has a snappy flamenco-like tone with ringing sympathetic notes and overtones that float in front of you.FYI - it is a thin body, the sound is well balanced but is a tad weak in the bass department, I knew that going in, and I'm not complaining. The Cordoba CE5- CET Limited gets five stars!
