Handy seed spreader
A neat seed spreader, I have not used it yet as I am having problems with the outlet shute opening.

Great little spreader
Great little spreader easy to use. Inside plastic supports are a little "flimsy" but in truth are not really required.

Buy this and ditch the drop spreader.
This really makes spreading fertilizer or seed so much easier and quicker than the push along drop spreader i was using. I have a 200m square lawn and it took just a few minutes to do the whole thing compared to the hour or so and messing about with the drop spreader. Only negative is the strap that doesn't have any adjustment and it unhooks itself very easily. The instructions aren't great either but there's not much to work out. Certainly one if the best tools i've bought for making life easier.

Well I've used this now ....the day after I got it....but bloody hell. The sheer efficiency of the thing took me completely by surprise. The control lever kept snapping off where it was supposed to stay and the bolt that regulates how much fertiliser you put on slid all the way back to zero. All of this happened so fast...so be warned. I've probably ended up using (I reckon) far to much Autumn fertiliser. I am now hoping it absolutely pis*es with rain. I don't doubt it is so, so much better than normal spreaders (I've had 2...and they are pretty crap). Practice will make perfect (maybe). It arrived quickly but I just left out the "stiffeners" 'cos I had no idea how to fit them and supposedly they needed 2 screws which were not in the packaging. I'm away to order more autumn fertiliser now and have a cup of tea to calm my nerves. Must be getting old and stupid!!

Better than cheap drop spreaders and a clever practical design. It does have its faults. Firstly, the adjuster is not as robust as it might be and the dial is calibrated in microscopically small digits. Secondly, it takes some practice to get the crank speed right and spread precisely. Lastly the mechanism can lead to spills if you are not vigilant. However, with practice this risk is greatly reduced.
