Has an overall tartness that I don't really care for; but it's good quick emergency food
When I need healthy food in my system, this is a reliable product. I boil the grains in seasoned ginger ale to reduce the overall sourness of this product. It's easy for the paste container to tumble onto the floor and bust open, so remove the outer cardboard with care.

These are ok, at least for me if you are in the mood for a small meal. Flavor wise they just didn't do it for me, but you may like them as taste is very personal

Tried the cauliflower and peruvian veggie guick cup (excellent when added to asian noodle dishes) ,, So, thought I would try the faro cups ---- The best that I can say about this that it might be edible if you are stranded in the wilderness for several months and had nothing else to eat, AND, if you have a taste for shredded cardboard and sawdust!I would actually prefer the old military C- rations!

I am a runner, so I am always looking for high protein foods. I'm not a vegetarian, but I don't eat much meat, so I'm always looking for good plant sources of protein. I'm a college professor, so I need an easy-to-prepare lunch to eat at my desk between classes. And I'm not a morning person, so I need a grab-and-go lunch option. I was reordering another quinoa product when I saw this and added it to my order. Wow, is this tasty!! Nice lemon zest with garlic and artichoke - all flavors shine! Then the farro gives a nice firm "al dente" chewing texture. The quinoa product requires that I add water and microwave; not that this is difficult, but I have to remember to get it started so it can sit and then so it can cool enough for me to eat. But this product can be eaten as soon as I sit down! And like I said, wow, it's tasty! Now, okay, I think it's a tad pricey, but per unit I would certainly spend a lot more than this at the cafeteria and when I consider that I'm getting a bunch of TASTY protein, I'm okay with the price.
