I emailed her on Monday night, and she responded before noon the following morning, which impressed me. She assured me that they stand 100% behind the product, and that these screwdrivers should indeed have magnetic tips. I chose to try a replacement set, which she sent very quickly. I admit I was still skeptical, but she told me that they had personally tested this set before sending it out.I opened the box and one-by-one I tried all ten screwdrivers on the computer screws that I had in front of me. Each and every screwdriver held the screws perfectly! I also tested each to see how they spin while holding the top of the grip stationary and all worked very well. A couple of them had a little more friction than the others, but all turned with no problem. All labels on the sides (showing the screwdriver size) and on the top (showing the type of screwdriver, i.e. phillips, flathead, star) were easily readable and had no wear of any kind.I want to call specific attention to Ashlie and her great service throughout this process. She was so incredibly helpful while simultaneously assuring me that she would make everything right. She did - there's no question about that. I also want to mention that it's nice that the company stands behind their product this way. It's a low-dollar item, and not a large investment so it was a pleasant surprise that they would take the time and effort to ensure that a high quality replacement be *personally tested* and then quickly sent to resolve the issue completely.This new 10-piece set is exactly as I had hoped it would be when I ordered. I chalk the lack of magnetic tips on the first set as a strange anomaly and not likely to be a regular issue. Because of the ease in rectifying the situation and the excellent quality of the replacement that was sent I now amend my original rating from 2 stars to a full 5 stars. I'm glad I will have these tools available for a long, long time to come. Total satisfaction here.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I already own a 6-piece set of precision screwdrivers, but they are not magnetic. I found these, read all of the reviews, and became convinced that this was the set for me. Others have remarked that they are a quality item and a couple people have remarked that they like the magnetic tips, which was my primary consideration. While the 6-piece Steelman sets were available immediately, I chose to wait the 1-2 months it would take for the 10-piece set. It was delivered on the lower end of that date range, so no complaints there.I have a couple of laptops that I wanted to do a little work on, and I have had a miserable time when using non-magnetic screwdrivers. Hence, as I pulled out my new set I was kind of excited. However, crushing disappointment followed when I found that there was no evidence of any magnetism whatsoever. Even on the smallest and lightest laptop screws there was no hint of any magnetism. It was completely and utterly indistinguishable from a normal non-magnetized set.My expectations are realistic - I don't expect it to be particularly strong, as I know that strong magnets are not generally ideal for working on electronics. Still, I am not exaggerating - I'm not saying that the magnetic force is weak, I'm saying that it does not exist. As this was my primary criteria for purchasing this set I am incredibly disappointed. And I promise I gave these a fair chance. If one were to look at the many reviews I have written on Amazon throughout the years it is clear that I rate almost everything very favorably, so I'm not a hater nor do I have any type of agenda against this product/company. I don't know if I can find a customer service number for them, but if I can I will likely reach out to them. I am curious as to whether I received a defective set, or if these are simply advertised on Amazon incorrectly. I will have to return these, I just don't know if I should ask for a replacement, or get a refund and select another brand.I am not including the screwdriver case in my rating, although it is very poor as others have already noted. I understood this when I made my purchase so it was not a factor in my decision. I just wanted a good quality precision set with magnetic tips. The quality does seem to be there, but the magnetic tips do not. For me that equates to a 2-star rating, which is unfortunate as I feel bad giving any product such a low score. I just feel others should be warned in case the described 'magnetic tips' are important to them. If that isn't a factor, then I will state that I think this is a worthy set and a very good value.

These work extremely well removing fans from CPU coolers.

These screw drivers were exactly what I needed to work on smaller toys and electronics. The magnetic tips are a plus too!

The tips all look well formed, and the diamond coating appears effective, but just looking down at the package when I opened it, I could see that several of the screwdrivers weren't even close to straight, deviating more than the width of the screwdriver in just a few inches.I don't think they used anything to keep the handles in line with the shaft when they formed them. The shafts appear straight, and the handles appear straight, but the two together don't even look straight to the naked eye.I normally buy pretty nice stuff and I knew these weren't top grade, but even at the dollar store, I expect a screwdriver to look fairly straight. I'm going to keep these around my hobby bench for odd projects, but I'm going to buy something better for a precision set in the garage.In fairness, I'll probably pay 3 times what these cost, so if you want to keep costs down, these might be good enough for you.

This set is not bad for given price with good quality of tips they have. After five months use still have kept initial tip shape especially for Philips. But has few deflection from the thing that has to be. The metal shanks are not right and little bent seen along most of them. Also, the shanks and handles are not coaxial in two or three.

Ive used them for a while now and still holding up. Some of the rubber coatings have wore off but good value.
