Best Coffee Every
For the last few years I have used a porcelain Melitta cone with a paper filter. Coffee was pretty good, in fact much better that the automatic drip coffeemakers but I could only make one cup of coffee at the time. I only drink one cup in the morning and one cup in the afternoon so it was working out for me. Problem was when I had a guest which prompted me to purchase the Apace Coffeemaker and it was an excellent decision. The Apace dripper/filter is the best and my coffee is the most flavorful. The carafe is as cute as can be and is the perfect size for 2 people but to be honest I have only used it once as I only make one cup at the time so I have been using my Melitta with the Apace dripper/filter instead of the paper filters and it has really improved the taste of coffee. If you don't want to invest in the complete package at first, at least buy the dripper/filter and an inexpensive cone (not plastic). You won't be sorry.

Buy the double glass instead of single
For being the first time doing a chemex brew I love this product. For an amateur who is not looking to become a barista, I love the style, the design, and elegance of this product. It looks great but sometimes I feel that I have to be careful to not break the glass.Cleaning is easy, I usually automatically out my coffee in a yet or pour it out instantly to consume so I just rinse out the coffee in the sink. But having the double glass beaker is awwsome and just love how it looks. Having a metal filter saves a lot more money than paper and I love how this company used their intuition to include a metal filter for this product. I will be keeping this product for a long time and will not be using automatic coffee makers, or buying Starbucks coffee again. I just love brewing my own coffee in this from now on

I’m nonplussed with the pour over experience.
Seems a little fragile though I haven’t managed to break it yet. I probably didn’t need to spend the extra money on a double wall version and would probable go with a pour over that goes straight into a mug if I could do it over again. I’m used to grinding my own coffee and using a press but nailing down the process with weighing the coffee and the water has drained my enthusiasm as I’ve not had the great cup of coffee I was hoping for with all the effing around to make one. I gave it an honest effort and went with a Keurig in the end. Also the cork makes the diameter of the neck almost too hard to hold for those with smaller hands and placement of the cork retaining tether is an issue because of the spring loaded retainer. Maybe the single cup/single wall version would have been better but I can’t see circling back around the way of a pour over again when I already can get a great cup of coffee from my press, percolator, and Keurig. If you’re interested in buying this from me let me know.

Good but with limitations
I switched to pour over coffee a few years ago and am a definite convert. I recently broke the pour over pot I was using and decided to research what to use next. I chose this one because it has the aesthetic of the Chemix but also offers double glass for heating and the metal filter so I don't have to use paper filters and add to landfills. I love the pour over process and product from this product. All of the functions of it are wonderful! The only spot where I am disappointed is the aesthetic. The cork wrap portion on my pot does not match up, and there are obvious gaps of 1/8 and 1/4 inch on the front and the back respectively. While this might seem like a minor point, the look was part of the appeal and a big part of the reason why I was willing to spend more money than for other double glass pots with a metal filter. If aesthetics aren't important for you then this is a 5 star system. If they are important, this might not be the system for you.

Keeps coffee hot longer than I thought it would
I especially like the cork stopper. It helps keep the coffee hot longer. The double wall helps with that too. My old pour over, I had to stand and hold it or it might spill. This one, I can pour in hot water and do something else. I end up with my breakfast ready and a fresh pot of coffee.

Winner!
I had ordered three different pour-over coffee maker brands in three weeks! The first one broke after only four days. The second one had plastic in the cone filter (I only wanted stainless steel and/or glass or ceramic.). And three? BINGO, this is the one! It may cost slightly more, but it makes excellent coffee. The slow drip through the filter makes a "clean," flavorful, and delicious cup of coffee! The double-walled glass, cork grip cozie, and stopper keeps the coffee warm longer. Plus, it even looks stylish enough to store on the kitchen counter! The only thing is that the cone filter is a little difficult to clean. Otherwise, I'm very pleased!

Over this product is great for a truely anjoyable cup of coffee
This is an excellent pour over coffee maker the double wall keeps your coffee hot longer and is perfect for a lazy moring having a couple of cups I gave the cleaning and durability 4 stars rather than five first because well it’s made of glass that’s the way it should be and cleaning due to the seam in the filter if you wipe it out in the wrong direction you will break the filter by pulling up the seam so be careful they all seam to be made that way so it’s nothing new with this model or product but somthing that led to buying a new pour over in th past

Great taste, but not hot enough
I want to love this because it makes good tasting coffee. The problem I find it by the time it blooms and the rest of the water drips through, the coffee loses a lot of heat. I loved the Keurig because it made really hot coffee. By the time this drips through and I pour it, its warm and has to be drunk immediately. Any suggestions on how to make it hotter would be great!

Deliciously satisfying both in the making and drinking :)
I have been looking for a simple, effective way to make coffee that is flavourful and intrinsically satisfying. This is for me, the best way yet. It’s quirky, hands on for just the right amount of effort and it enables having a coffee that delights every time.I tried a basic pour over but it took too long and the coffee was not hot enough for my taste. I have health issues so do not want to go down the road of coffee in capsules or the expense of a noisy electric machine.I followed suggestions and warm up the pour over with some water. Water heated to 95 degrees and I enjoy the process of pouring it slowly over the coffee. Such a wonderful aroma. Easy to clean, I hand wash it and it stores away neatly. Warm vibe to marketing material and cleverly done.My only slight quibble is pouring out the last few mills usually results in spilt coffee. Not sure if it is me or the lip...The double wall keeps the coffee beautifully hot and I combine that with serving it in a double walled glass. My personal solution was to use mycotoxin free decaf coffee and at long last it is possible to thoroughly enjoy a cup without feeling any ill effects. I hope you find your solution too. It is also just the right size for sharing and looks great.

Highly recommended.
I waited a couple of weeks to write this as I wished to try a few different coffees in this excellent coffee maker. I have tried several different brands of coffee, even the cheap ones from the budget supermarkets and all have produced a good cup of coffee. The stainless filter is very efficient and so far I have not needed to use a paper filter as well. It is also very easy to clean. I also have a capsule coffee maker which is quicker but this is a very worthy and desirable addition to my kitchen which opens the way to many more different tastes. Highly recommended.

Karaffe in Karaffe
