This is a "non-maintained" type emergency light fitting. The lamps are off during normal use. When a power failure occurs the lamps light and will remain lit for a period of 3 hours, utilising the in-built battery. Once the power restores the lamps go off and the battery is recharged. This model also includes an automatic self test function that carries out monthly and annual testing in accordance with BS5266.
