rather buy this pitch than buy
I have made my own pitch, still do for some applications; but, this product is very good - holding tight and releasing the worked piece easily. will buy more, when my budget allows.

Used this to hold my work piece on a bowling ball with 1/3 cut off. This stuff is great. A hair dryer is slow but heats it up just fine. Used the money I saved by getting the bowling ball and dryer from Goodwill to purchase the Red Pitch. If you want to try engraving this is a most satisfactory way to hold your work piece without the expense of a ball vice.
