Just as described, and as demonstrated in a video I watched. It smells very good, but it is a soft scent and dissipates quickly, actually to quickly because I like it so much! I have thick course curly hair, and I put this on after the leave in curl cream I have, and it works great. It is a good hold. If your hair is not as thick and or course/ you probably could just use this alone after you wash and rinse out condition.

Love this stuff so much. I have low density, fine, 3a curly waves and it does not weigh them down at all. I get my perfectly formed ringlets without a ton of products to stretch my curls down. If lift is what you need, then I'd give this a try. It's great for low humidity weather. I live in a tropical climate so most of the year i have to layer it with a light weight gel underneath. But if not for the humidity, this would definitely streamline the process for me so much.

This gel to foam is lovely. I’ve used the curl cream by Cake in the past and I really enjoy that as well, but this gel to foam delivers the soft, defined curl that I look for without the weight of a cream. It also smells incredible, which is not as important but is a nice plus.

Not so crazy about the scent. Love how it makes my curls look and feel. There may be better priced products that can do the same though. I don't think it's good for all curl types as stated.

This is a very light hold, if you have fine hair it would work well, my hair is medium to thick so it needs some extra help with another styler. I was hoping to be able to just use this but it just doesn’t hold quite enough.

Of course I bought it because of the name and that is pink. This gel to foam is a great go to, very wet for a gel but I don't mind it means it's getting on every hair stand. Nice hold but not stiff like traditional gels. I love the smell, sweet lemony smell but docent over power or stay all day. I have super frizzy curly hair the cake works. doesn't leave a heavy coat on the hair, just a nice hold.

I bought this for the summer usually I do a wash and go and I needed something for the curls at first it left my hair hard and stiff but I finally figured out how to work with it and it's perfect

Love it!! I have ‘at shoulder’ hair. I wash (shampoo, condition and leave in conditioner) and airdry my hair at night. In the morning I use a spray bottle to wet hair. I apply 2-4 pumps of curl shape & stay gel to foam (a little goes a long way). Rake thru hair, scrunch then diffuse. Then scrunch out the crunch. Beautiful curly results!
