Q: Would this be a decent replacement for my Canon T2i 18-55 kit lens or should I just keep saving? I shoot landscapes and small venue concerts mostly.

It's a good lens for my needs. I have found the 18-300mm type lenses just don't do all that well, I think too much range to cover but this does well and being a f/2.8 it's better for darker shots. Heavier than a kit lens but worth it in my opinion.

Q: Is this a good lens for product photography, for a depth of about 12 inches? I'm having a hard time getting sharp images of my labels. Thank you

Yes, the macro function is excellent. Pay attention to the depth of field and you won’t be disappointed.

Q: Is this still good lens? Is there a big difference between this and the C model? Will this replace my d7000 18-55mm lens?

I used the lens almost the entire time I shot dx. It did a wonderful job for me and gave me countless well loved images. It is supposedly better wide than the C version but the C is reportedly better at the long end. I must have had a good copy because I had no complaints with its performance at 70mm.
