Canterbury Mens British and Irish Lions 2024 Long Sleeve

I've worn rugby jumpers for years and this one is pretty special. Designed as the official British Lions shirt for the 2025 tour, Canterbury quality shines through.The fabric is excellent and the embroidered emblem and stitched lettering looks the business. The sizing is generous and my 44" chest suggested the need for an XL. It fits across the chest and there's room to grow as the waist/belly is not at all tight. This could well change post wash but we'll see...The single button (collar) is rubber and slightly flexible, in keeping with usual rugby wear. There's no collar to speak of as this looks more like a Nehru jacket.Seams are well sewn with overlocked inner/cover stitched outer and the material is somewhat stretchy to have a bit of give.The Howden logo is printed onto the shirt in a flexible rubber material. Will be interesting to see how that holds up in the drier. Time will tell.Regarding the NFC tag in the shirt, if you want to read it on the iPhone, open the WALLET app built in to the phone's OS rather than downloading a special app. It then prompts you to install the Lions app in preparation for the tour in 2025.You'll need to scan the tag again in the Lions app to "claim" your shirt... Bit of fun building community ahead of the tour.

This is a really nice shirt overall. The material feels well-made, not too heavy but definitely thicker than a regular long-sleeve, so it’s great for cooler days. It’s soft and comfortable to wear, even though it’s a cotton-polyester mix.The Lions badge and the Canterbury logo are embroidered, which makes the shirt look high-quality. The sponsor’s logo, though, is printed on, and I think it might peel off after a while or with repeated washes. That’s a bit disappointing since the rest of the shirt feels like it’s built to last.The fit is loose but not oversized, which is what you’d expect from a rugby-style shirt. It works well on its own or with something underneath for layering.NFC stuff a bit of a gimmick? YMMV.Summary: It’s a great-looking and comfortable shirt that feels like it will hold up well, apart from the printed logo. Four stars because of that, but otherwise, I’d recommend it to any Lions fan or someone looking for a good-quality rugby top.

This is a really well made shirt and would be an amazing gift for a rugby fan. You can feel the quality when you pick it up as it's weighty. What really makes it is the attention to detail. The shirt is made by Canterbury, who have been making rugby merch for over 100 years. The rugby shield and Canterbury 3 kiwi logo are both beautifully embroidered. Rich colours. Clean stitching. The Howdens logo is printed on the front and feels gloss. The golden AU 2025 badge is smaller and sewn onto the bottom right hand side.The stitching throughout is top drawer. You can see how they've joined the white collar to the main body with a British & Irish Lions embossed neck tape. It looks classy and really well thought through. It is relaxed fit. In the photo I got my 15 year old to model it and he's 5'9". This shirt is a medium.I know it's expensive for a shirt but in this case it exudes the quality and you can tell it's an officially branded top. It is so well stitched and with the weighty material it should last for years. This is a really easy recommendation. An easy 5*. Chuffed with it.

Ordered this British & Irish Lions shirt for my husband who's a big rugby fan and wanted to a new supporters top (his old one is about 20 years old!). It's a lovely shirt and looks great. It's very well made with no loose threads or anything and everything on it looks neat and tidy (as it should given the price!). The details on the shirt, like the embroidered logo and printed graphics, are really high-quality which adds a nice touch of authenticity.The shirt is very comfortable to wear and the material super soft. It's a mix of 60% Cotton and 40% Polyester so it has a nice balance of breathability and durability. My husband says it feels light but warm making it good for a variety of different weather conditions. The rich red is done really well and is holding up after being in the washing machine, all the colours are still lovely and vibrant. It hasn't lost shape or shrunk which is good.I ordered a Large size and the fit is generally very good, perhaps the arms are a little longer than necessary (but then again my husband is only 5ft 9 so if you're taller then you probably won't have the same issue!) but the rest of it is great and very true to size and it fits without being too snug or too loose.This is a very high quality shirt, it's very well made, looks great and I highly recommend it.

This cotton and polyester mix ‘Lions’ jersey is well finished as one would expect from a known manufacturer such as Canterbury, a New Zealand based company who specialise in sports equipment.The jersey is comfortable to the touch and substantial. It is sized and shaped to be worn loosely.One thing that surprised me, was that while the badges were of good quality and well stitched on to the jersey the word ‘Howden’ (the Lion’s sponsor) on the front of the jersey is a sort of thin plasticky material that appears to be stuck on. It is a shame as it is such a big name that is sort of detracts from the overall quality in my opinion. For a jersey of this cost, currently £75.00, something more substantial might be expected.Overall however the jersey is very well made and, as I say the material is very pleasant and comfortable to wear. In spite of my disappointment with the transfer I will give it a rating of 4 stars as otherwise the jersey is great.

Pretty much what you'd expect from Canterbury. Well made with strong seams. Great colour and detailing. Doesn't bleed in the wash.
