I tried a square patch on the glass first (see photos) to see how easy it was to apply and how effective it was. I suggest doing the same before doing a whole pane. The protective film can be separated with most sticky tapes if the provided separators lose their stickiness. I use electrical tape to separate the layers.It definitely adds some security as it is harder to see inside, even at night if a person were to try and shine a torch through the glass and look in. Therefore, for my garage it does the job of helping to conceal the contents.I'm reasonable at DIY and have fitted film before and this is no different to others. It is next to impossible to get all bubbles out, leaving tiny bubbles trapped. The edges after cutting with a sharp craft knife are not perfect. Therefore I would say you cannot get a flawless outcome which would be suitable for home use, unless you are happy with a few imperfections.For the price, compared to others I've seen, this is worth the money.
