Ignition Distributor Coil TD-80U for Honda Civic Del Sol 1.6L Sohc D16Y7 D16Y8

WARNING -- Surprisingly, the CKP "crank position sensor" is inside the distributor.This product fixed error code P0335 in ten minutes!I mistakenly replaced the CKF (crank *fluctuation*) sensor first and that took about three hours to disassemble and another three to put it back together. And that did *not* solve the problem. I did it because that sensor was directly o the crank. I learned later that Honda has weird terminology.I then diagnosed the three distributor sensor circuits with my ohm meter. One (connector pins 2 & 6) was slightly flaky, but the other two were totally fine at around 405-420 ohms. Then after a 10 minute drive, the one on pins 2 & 6 totally flaked out and was an open circuit. So I ordered this. It worked great, and right away, and permanently.The learning for me was that the CKP *crank* position sensor, unlike any other engine ever made, was inside the distributor.The one other learning was that no sensors below the rotor are a replaceable items.I guess that's ok, given that the distributor is not too expensive.And it comes with a new cap and rotor.There was a cheaper one, but this one claimed to have Japanese electronics.I had nothing else to on on for quality, so I picked this one.It's been great.

My mechanic wanted hundreds of dollars to replace my distributor because the seals were bad and oil was getting into the distributor. I ordered this replacement and had it changed in under :30, it was an exact fit, no issues at all.

Product arrived fast and fit perfect just like OEM. Started right up and fixed the miss and oil leak. Price was right. For the price of a cap and rotor I replaced the whole distributor. Hope this one lasts another 320,000 miles.

Fast shipping, was a good price. After One week car stopped running diagnosed it as no spark, put old distributor back on with new distributor cap and rotor off the new distributor. My fault is I waited to long to send it back.
