Does exactly what it says on the tin
Not sure about the negative reviews, for me this achieved exactly what I wanted. I recently bought a tx-nr515 and didn't want to lay cables all across the room to get Internet access. Plugged this into the rear USB port ( so I could still use the front for ipad etc) and turned the amp on, it instantly saw my rather ageing Linksys router, I entered the WEP code and, hey presto, all the network functionality was available. I can now wirelessly stream music from my iPod/iPads, listen to Internet radio and control the amp from my phone and tablet. What more could you possibly want? BTW, there may be non-branded ones available but this thing is tiny and works a treat. £35 well-spent and excellent delivery from amazon as usual. ( despite me getting a little grumpy with them. Sorry amazon )

Works great
Having tried other cheaper devices and having no luck I had to buy the original adapter . It worked straight away with no problems I have only given it 4 stars because the price is way to much for a device of this kind . I have a Onkyo TX NR 515

Brilliant bit of kit - explore the full potential of your Onkyo Receiver
Last year I treated myself to an Onkyo CR-N755 Receiver and some Dali Zensor speakers (a cracking deal from Richer Sounds). I have finally got round to adding this wireless dongle to the set up. To be fair, I was happy with the equipment apart from the less than perfect FM radio reception. I noticed that these dedicated dongles were on Amazon for £16. Got to be worth a try I thought. The dongle arrived two days later. Initially, I read in the instruction book that a firmware update of the receiver was required. I went onto the Onkyo website and could not find any such update download or information. I then tried plugging the dongle in and switching the receiver on. This just didn't work. I then saw a YouTube clip where the receiver was switched on before the dongle was plugged into the usb port. I tried this and bingo! I took this easy route of auto set up and in less than two minutes, was listening to clean crisp sounding music. This really was money well spent and I sincerely recommend using this dongle to unleash the potential of your system.

Its not working, receiver detects internet and apparently connects, but if you try to actualy do anything it drops connection.

It's hit & miss setting this up to work correctly, even with a full wireless signal.
I matched this with my Onkyo NR414 receiver amp. Followed the instructions to the tee although they were obviously translated in to English by an amateur. It didn't do what it claimed, very disappointed. I didn't contact the Onkyo Help Line as I was put right off by their 0900 xxxxxxx phone number that charges extortionate rates.

Once it is up and running it is great
I found it slightly difficult to get it working. I do not know why... The automatic set up option on it (press the key on your router, and press OK on the Hi Fi Remote Control) never worked. It could not connect.I gave it two three four attempts on the enter the key manual option - it did not work either. I reckon it has got less to do with this, and more to do with the impenetrable way the display is set out on the Onkyo receivers. After the last attempt the thing connected, and I have left it well alone. It connects. It works. It works a treat.

Four Stars
Expensive but works, you can use this with a rack mounting Roland INTERGRA-7 and close it's lid with this.
