My favorite case and carry case
I bought both the slim grip case and the hard carry case. For the grip, initially I was put off by the rubber smell but letting that air out for a week or two really helped. And km glad because this is my favorite case for the deck. It's not too bulky, it adds a nice amount of grip and being able to stand it up on its own is a really nice convenience to add. The black helps maintain the sleek look of the deck. For the carry case, I had a hard time replacing the original case the oled came with but I wanted something that fit the Skull and Co grip. Fortunately this case is only a little thicker than the slim case, and comes in a nice denim blue. It feels very premium I think it's a perfect carrying case

awesome case, fits in travel one, great matalerials
Why did you pick this product vs others?:awesome protective case, materials and fits the carrying case that steam deck comes with. some reviews said it doesn’t - but with my OLED 512gb it fits perfectly really like how you can keep it standing without extra legs, but wish it had a bit lower angel for playing while at a table

You Need It!
I didn’t think I’d need a grip with the steam deck, but after using this I was so wrong! This makes the steam deck more comfortable and gives it a better feeling, I’d say it feels as close as possible to an Xbox series controller texture wise

Must buy
You don’t realize how desperately the Steam Deck needs more grip till you get this protector. It feels great since I have smaller hands. Great brand. Only wish the silicone wrapped around more to protect the front of the SD.

Great case with power button issue, but could be fixed
Great case, however; there is one small issue. For whatever reason, the cover around the power button kept turning on and off my device, so I simply cut out that little part of the case off, so you just have to dig a little to turn it on but it's not bad. The grip is very comfortable, and I like the protection it provides. If they fix the power button issue, this will be a 5/5.

Worthy
Grippy and the flat bottom doubles as a stand

1TB OLED OEM Valve case can handle it
I paid for the 1TB OLED model with the slim case from valve but I wanted to get my grip on, and didn't wanna have another big zip case. The grip here is great. Super quality , great texture, very well designed. Now about the fit in the 1TB OLED OEM case from Valve...When I DON'T have the grip on, and I pull back the 'lips' of the zipper on the 1TB OLED case, the hard inner 'gums' of each half of the case touch each other, and zip closure works without resistance. When you DO put the grip on, Valve's case can zip fully closed. The hard gums are not flush, but that makes sense since this changes the geometry of the palm grip corners of the thing. If you put the grip-on Steam Deck in face-down first, so the sticks sit properly in the molded relief, this geometry is mostly unchanged and the fitment is natural. Then you can flip the case closed to cover the back. The hands free stand up flat back corners of this grip 100% smoosh up against the back of the case, I won't delude you. Fortunately if you leave it in there frequently enough the Valve case will begin to reshape itself at those corner points in about a week or so. If you load it back to front in the case, the sticks might not lay where you want them and might get unintentional pressure. Load it face down and you have to exert significantly to click in a stick, which to me means there's sufficient protective clearance. The bundle I bought included a very very nice case that fits the grip with no trouble as well, but the black Friday price difference was negligible, so I picked up the bundle even though I had no use for the outer case if the grip fit in the Valve joint. If I got another 1TB steam deck I'd get another of these but skip the bundle. If you have the non OLED, or less than 1TB model, the bundle case is an upgrade vs the one the device ships in.I'm pretty picky, but this one fits just fine.

Definitely a worthy case
Really like how comfortable it is while not adding much bulk. Yet has all the main features of other more expensive grips. It fits well in the jsaux dock but it’s a bit snug in the steam deck OEM case. I’d recommend Hall effect sticks to prevent drift if the sticks are kept at a weird angle in the case.
