Misleading - this is NOT a latch, it is a door pull
Misleading - this is NOT a latch, it's just a door pull. There's a button that pops out of the end so you can pull the pocket door out of the opening. There is nothing that it latches too once the door is closed. With that said, I'm still using it.

This hardware puts the others to shame.
I desired to replace my old set, Kwikset, with a more substantial set that was just a passage set. This item fit the bill. It was much more to my liking. It installed well and looks great. The utility handle for accessing the door from the wall takes just a little personal adjustment, the Kwikset was a dangler that you finessed to get a grip on the door, this set you just flick up the button and out pops the grip for instant control. Nice...... The biggest attraction for me was the construction of the set. Solid barrel body for the control handle just a very satisfying feel to it besides being more substantial in construction than the Kwikset. I have replaces a Kwikset Privacy set with the corresponding model of Dynasty set because of quality and substantial character all the way around. I need to do the same with 2 more Kwikset Privacy sets but until the Dynasty hardware becomes available again on Amazon, I await with anticipation of substantiality of hardware change.

The escutcheons should be about 1/8'' deeper and perpendicular to the sides so your finger doesn't slide out when closing the doors.

Not real easy to use
We have a heavy door, and the latch is not so easy to hold to pull it. It looks very nice and is quite sturdy.

Just as described
Comparable to hardware store prices. Works great on a swing door that we converted to a pocket door. Covers the door hole completely and fits perfect.
