Excellent book - comprehensive in content and very useful for a Tin Whistle Beginner. Clear and precise. Lovely old songs of yore. I recommend.

An excellent book for tin whistle enthusiasts. A great selection of songs with all lyrics. Also all guitar chords and clear and precise whistle tablature. Highly recommended for beginners and more seasoned players alike.

This book is brilliant especially for a beginner.None of them is too difficult and being written in music score plus tabs and with chords for guitar. You can be accompanied by guitar.

This is a very good book for learning Irish songs, I play at an accordion club, and I am always looking to add to my repertoire, I also have a Irish flute, and the book includes guitar chords. Pretty good value with 53 tunes. Beautifully presented.

Very good and easy to follow

This is a well made, well planned out book of tunes. I love it and highly recommend it.

I ordered this book for one of my daughters who has started learning tin whistle. Unfortunately the melody of Molly Malone is significantly different in this book compared to the standard version that everybody knows. As a musician and former music teacher, I know that giving this book to her would be a bad idea as it would confuse her when she hears the correct melody somewhere else, or tries to play along with other people. I haven't bothered to check the other melodies yet - will be returning the book. By the way we live in Ireland, so getting "Molly Malone" right would be a priority!

Love the way it shows you the fingering in the tin whistle, also it shows you the writing melody, the chord for guitar and chord charts for the guitar. It's a well thought book, easy to learn. I'm really happy with it

ci sono molte canzoni famose che si possono ascoltare anche su Youtube. Ogni nota ha la diteggiature per fischietto, testo e accordi chitarra, l'appendice contiene le tavole per suonare il Fischietto. direi che è ben fatto.

Livro com ilustrações bonitas e clássicos da música irlandesa. Fácil de entender e de tocar graças às ilustrações das notas. Gostei muito, dá prazer usar.

I've just taken up the tin whistle and the instructions are good and helpful. It would have been nice to see a link to their youtube channel to follow along but it is what it is.I can't say much more as the learning process is not steep just memorizing the notes/keys.I used to play the bagpipes and the playing is the same as a chanter, just don't blow as hard.Overall I'm happy with this buy.

...der ein oder andere Fehler Einzug gehalten hätte.Das Buch hat einen netten Einband, einen super Preis und durchaus eine tolle Auswahl an Stücken. Das ist schön, aber man gewinnt schnell den Eindruck, dass der Autor nicht versucht hat, eines der abgedruckten Stücke nach den Noten in dem Buch (und nicht nur in diesem Buch!) nachzuspielen.Es ist zwar korrekt, dass es - wie vom Autor im Vorwort aufgeführt - durchaus verschiedene Variationen von Stücken gibt. Aber das erklärt leider nicht, dass z.B. die Stücke Carrickfergus und Whiskey In The Jar meines Erachtens schlichtweg vollkommen falsch gesetzt wurden. Spielt man diese beiden Songs vom Blatt, kommt leider nichts Sinnvolles dabei heraus. Wenn dann noch bei anderen Stücken die Texte oder Akkorde falsch abgedruckt werden (auch das kommt leider vor), ist es mit dem Spielspaß schnell vorbei.Fazit: (Auch dieses) Buch des Autors muss vor dem Benutzen Stück für Stück von jedem Musiker, der es gekauft hat, durchgearbeitet und ggf. verbessert werden. Das kann es nicht sein!
