Okay I read some negative reviews about the strength of the clasp, controls and cool end. First off a curler is hot people. You are generously supplied with a glove and even a hair clip. If you’ve been doing this a while you know not to touch the hot barrel, no? The controls are just fine and are placed in a very similar fashion to a pricier brand I just returned. They are not overly sensitive but yes if you hit them they will change the settings. Just pay attention. Finally, the clasp is not super strong but I prefer this. I despise clasps that actually rip my hair out because they are made to apparently withstand a nuclear blast. I have fine hair and have no problem placing my hair under the clamp without it slipping out. If you want to pull firmly as you curl then it will not hold, but if you just put your hair under the clamp and then continue to wrap your hair around it’s just fine. Seriously people, for the price it is an amazing deal, the cord swivels, heat adjusts, you get a glove and a hair clip. And the curls even last! Who knew!

I’ll start off with the pro: it came with a heat gloveCons: flimsy, does not hold hair in place. I have fine hair and it kept slipping out of the barrel clamp. The power and heat buttons are right next to the release so I continuously accidentally turned it off. Not conducive to the final product.Will be returning.

I like how it gets hot fast but I don’t like how bulky the standby is and it was also falling over a lot when I would sit it up I’m a male I do my wife’s hair a lot so I don’t know if this matters because I have no hair and don’t use it on myself but to me it’s good

As a 40+ year professional Cosmetologist, I love this iron. I can agree that the clamp part isn’t tight enough but for me , I don’t use the clamp. I pick up a strand of hair, holding the iron at the root and wrap it around the iron. The included heat resistant glove is perfect to hold the hair tips to the iron.The adjustable heat temperature is a plus for all types of hair textures and you can’t beat the price.I really bought this to take on a trip to Europe because of the duel voltage but it will definitely be used at home, as well.

GREAT PRODUCT AND VALUE

This iron is very cheaply priced and the quality reflects that. It does work pretty well but the clamp is too loose and does not grip the hair unless you push on the clamp "button". The barrel itself wobbles and seems like it is loose. The temperature controls and the power button are sort of in a weird spot on the handle and occasionally I press them while curling but hasn't been a big problem. Despite these things, it does have wonderful temperature control that tells you degree and not just a number like a lot of Conair appliances do. I would probably not purchase it again and wouldn't spend a few more dollars on something else.

I was looking for a replacement dual voltage curling iron at a reasonable price. The price on this one is certainly good and the size of the wand, larger than most if that’s what you’re looking for, however, the clamp on the curling iron does not hold tight enough for my medium thick hair AND the biggest challenge for me is the on/off button. My hands are on the small size and I find the on off switch is right where I would naturally rest my thumb while using the iron. As a result, I’m constantly turning it off accidentally. Overall, I found it really awkward to use. For the price I’ll still probably keep it as a back up but I’m going to spend the extra money and buy a hot tools, curling iron again rather than going cheap.

Heats up super fast

Wife writing this - I ordered this and it was awful. The clamp is super loose and will drop your hair. Also the part you push down with your thumb gets insanely hot and can burn you. I returned it after trying it once it was that bad.

Love it. Very hot. Long chord. Excellent price.

the barrel is a little wiggly...and the wand is a little lose. heats up quick...it's too easy to turn it off by accident that has happened. HMMMM
