Good price for a good belt
This is not the first turntable belt I have bought via Amazon so that probably says something. I can't remember if the Market Place retailer was the same each time but the same photo was used! The belts are generic and sold by diameter rather than by which deck they fit, so its up to you to do a bit of research as to the size you want. Not dificult to do online as many retailers will list the belt diameter (or circumference - you do the maths!) for specific decks, and then charge 2 or 3 times the price of these belts (which may be these anyway!). These are flat belts around 5mm wide so not suitable for those rarer turntables that require square or circular cross-section belts. If your turntable has variable pitch control,(or a couple of vari-pots underneath), you can be a couple of milimeters out (smaller) and bring it up to speed by adjusting the pitch. All-in-all, I'm happy with the quality and price of these belts which have now bought several of my turntables back to life.

Amazing price - just what I wanted and so easy too.
Just what I needed... bought an old stereo system and all it needed to get the record deck up and running was a belt as the old one had perished. So I came on here to get an idea of a price and Hey Presto! The whole thing worked like a dream and the price was around a third of what I was looking at in some other places. Can you say fairer than that - of course you can't. :)

Nothing wrong with the belt.... Just my measurements were wrong!!
This looked very sturdy. The problem was I misjudged the size I needed. It was way too big for my turntable. I think I will have to take my turntable into a shop and get them to sort this out as by ordering another it could be the wrong size again, i did try using the method of measurement, but still got it wrong.

Great Service - just requires a bit of measuring
If you're foxed about how to get the right belt, I believe they are talking about the diameter here, from what I can recall. You can just order it by measuring the diameter of the drive bezel thingy on the underside of the plinth. Check the other reviews to make sure, but I recall that's what I did. This was fractionally too tight, but certainly did the job.

does its job
the product arrived promptly and does its job. I have no previous experience of changing drive belts on gramophones so can't judge if it is above or below expected quality for such things.

Good supplier
On one sight they said measure across the drive spigot under the platter mine was 180mm but the largest belt was 175. I ordered it to see what would happen. Glad I did. it made the tension ok.When fitted it worked perfectly and everything os working well and at the correct speed.Mike BManchester
