Schwabe Pharma - MenoHerb - Menopause Relief - Black Cohosh Root Extract 6.5mg - Traditionally Used for Hot Flushes, Night Sweats and Mood Swings - 30 Tablets

After having a total abdominal hysterectomy and both ovaries removed, the dreaded menopause hit me with all its symptoms like I'd just run into a brick wall at 100 miles per hour. Hot flushes, severe night sweats, and feeling very emotional for absolutely no reason etc. I was prescribed HRT, which completely alleviated these issues. However, 13 months later I was diagnosed with breast cancer, which was 'ER+' (Oestrogen Receptor Positive), meaning I had no choice but to come off HRT.Whilst weaning myself off the HRT, I started taking Menoherb, in conjunction with another herbal product (Menopace Plus). All I can say is, I haven't had any of the horrible menopausal symptoms back. Not only have the night sweats and hot flushes stayed away, my emotional mood swings have also been held at bay! At least, my other half is still alive and my kids are all still talking to me!!I can't swear that it's all down to these products, as I didn't take the chance of going 'cold turkey', but I can say that I wouldn't now risk finding out.Additionally, I originally bought this from another well known herbalist outlet, but paid about three times the price, as I didn't even think about checking Amazon at the time! Silly me! I will always compare prices, but so far, I haven't found this product cheaper elsewhere.I would suggest to anyone who is experiencing menopausal symptoms to give this a try for a month and see if you notice a difference. I would also recommend Menopace Plus, also through Amazon - much cheaper than the other place.Update 29/04/2014: Please note, I have stopped taking these products, as it turns out that they're not recommended for people with ER+ breast cancer. Although there is no evidence one way or another, NICE do not recommend the use of these products as there job is to stimulate oestrogen. Because they're herbal products, they do not undergo the stringent testing that medicines do, so I am not saying that they shouldn't be used; just that given the NICE recommendation, I have opted to stop taking them.

Hasn’t completely resolved my hot flushes but has certainly helped which I’m grateful for. My mood seems more balanced too!

My wife says thisvproduct is really helpful in reducing sweating caused by the menopause. She like thst she can control menopause symptoms naturally and it works.

The ingredients DO NOT help with hot flushes, I was told this might help with the menopause, but I didn't get any respite from any menopause symptoms

I’ve been using black cohosh for a while and rate this product really highly! A similar product had been recommended to me by my primary care doc in the US but I couldn’t find it here in the UK. So I gave this a go after reading reviews and doing some of my own research and I’m honestly pleased. The tablets are easy to swallow and I have found that the primary ingredient really supports my perimenopause symptoms of night sweats and mood.

Have been taking last few days and seem to be really helping

I was hit with the news I was perimenopausal (aged 44) towards the end of last year, after talking to my doctor about masses of red spots on my shoulders and upper arms, going from regular to occasional periods, plus suicidal ideation and a severely dangerously temper beginning up to 10 days before my now irregular periods (I have PMDD too). I didn't realize things would get worse!! If you suffer from NIGHT SWEATS as I soon began to, PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT, IT IS ABSOLUTELY USELESS!! I'm talking the kind of sweats that turn your bed into a dripping mess you would not have thought the human body capable of. Every single night I get up for the loo after an hour of sleep, and on returning, find my bed utterly sodden (I sleep alone in a double) with the fitted sheet AND mattress protector literally like someone has thrown buckets of water onto it from top to toe. But a bleary-eyed swap won't help, because even my DUVET AND WEIGHTED BLANKET (which I cannot sleep without) are also so soaked that the top of the weighted blanket is completely darkened with sweat. You'd think having a double bed to myself I could at least find a “dry patch” and make do, but no, this is the reality and extent of true night sweats. Therefore, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THESE TABLETS, THEY DO NOTHING FOR THIS PROBLEM, OR *ANY OTHER* ASSOCIATED MENOPAUSAL SYMPTOM LISTED ON THE PACKET!! I have nearly finished the packet, so patience is pointless. When you consider that in the United States, bottles of pure Black Cohosh root, with each pill averaging 540mg (which are taken 3 TIMES DAILY) are the norm, what good is this 6.5mg RUBBISH GOING TO DO?? Sadly, I cannot afford to purchase from overseas due to the prohibitive price (plus the fact one's liver needs to be considered when taking Black Cohosh. My liver is not great, due to medications taken as a teenager, but if you can afford to try out these higher strengths yourself, PLEASE HAVE A QUICK AND SIMPLE LIVER FUNCTION TEST BEFORE YOU DO). But back to the product listed, seeing all the women here claiming this product to be nothing short of miraculous angered me so much I was moved to write this, my first review, in over 20 years as an Amazon customer!!
