Good quality portafilter
This is a quality piece. Precise metal work, wood, and shiny chrome with no blemishes. The filter basket is about 17-19 gram and is well made. It has a smooth wall with no retainer indent. The filter holes are clean and uniform. When properly loaded, it makes a good tasting espresso with nice crema. The metal tip at the end is probably a touch too much, but doesn't hurt. It fits my ECP3420 well and stops right at 6 o'clock after tightening. I saw the reviews reporting a cracked wooden handle and I waterproofed mine with several coats of tung oil. This should protect the handle from water damage.

Nice Portafilter
I bought this to go with my De'Longhi Stilosa Manual Espresso Machine, Latte & Cappuccino Maker, 15 Bar Pump Pressure + Milk Frother Steam Wand, Black / Stainless, EC260BK, 13.5 x 8.07 x 11.22 inches which I also bought here on Amazon. This is my first foray into the world of espresso making and this is my first accessory. The ports filter that came with the machine is perfectly adequate. I read a review that this filter would level up our espresso game so I thought I’d give it a try. First cup using this portafilter has a more robust, richer, nuttier flavor with our standard coffee. I recommend this filter and can confirm that it fits the previously mentioned machine.

Manufacturer's Illustrations are misleading but this is a very good portafilter.
I was looking for a shallow bottomless portafilter so that I could easily see the basket whiole making espresso with my De'longhi Stilosa. The illustrations for this item make it look just right, but, while the given dimensions are accurate, the illustration make the item appear much shallower than it actually is. There is an 11mm gap between the bottom of the 22mm filter basket and the bottom rim of the handle, making it difficult to see with a cup on the drain plate.I have solved this problem by removing the drain box, using a thinner scale, and placing a small mirror where it shows the bottom of the basket. So, I decided to keep this portafilter rather than to search endlessly for a shallower one.Used with a WDT tool, spring loaded tamper, a puck screen, and a bottom paper filter, I am now able to make much more satisfying espresso and watch the shot as it is made. Some other reviewers have mentioned that the handle does not fit well. The ears on this portafilter are not as thick as those on the one that is supplied with the Stilosa, so it has to be turned past center in order to fit tightly, but it does fit and work well when one does so.I hope some readers find this review helpful.

Dependable and Easy to Clean
This has easily become the best thing to happen to my coffee set-up since I got an expensive grinder. There are so many important parts of brewing espresso, a good handle, a strong machine, and a consistency in grind, pressure, and pour. This handle is amazing and so dependable. I have been using it for well over a year and it is still going strong with no issues.

Heavy, sturdy
Not compatible with Casabrews Espresso Machine CM5418. There was no reviews or info on compatibility so I had to pay to test. Attached some photos where you can see the difference. Mostly in the size of the 3 ears. This is a great quality product. Heavy and sturdy. The walnut handle is really nice.

Leaks
Leaks out of the top where it connects to machine. It is the correct size and slots, it just isn’t as tight if a fit as I think it needs. My machine is a delonghi ecp 3460 (I think). It fits, and maybe if I was only doing single shots, it would be better, but for the larger basket/cup, it just doesn’t work the way I wish it did (too much pressure and it sprays out the top).

Fits Breville Dual Boiler
Wanted the product to use in my Breville Dual Broiler. After a month of use I am happy with the purchase. The fit seems secure, with no signs of leaking. As an off brand option the price is worth it.Two minor annoyances is that the ring for the basket comes unscrewed too easily. While nice for potential cleaning, when I knock the puck out it becomes loose and starts unscrewing. Second issue is my basket, while it fits with no leaks, is a smidge loose too when knocking the puck the basket often comes loose and falls out too. Be mindful not to loose it in the trash. For the value and what's on the market, I'm happy for this bottomless portafilter option for the BDB.

Hard to master, but it worth it
The media could not be loaded. I have a Delonghi Stylosa, not that fancy, but it has get the job done. I wanted to improve my coffee by upgrading the dosifier, since the extraction of the default delonghi filter is ok for a 'Lungo ‘ but not enough for a real espresso. A word of warning, do not purchase this if you dont have a good grinder and good Fresh coffee available, just save your money for the grinder first. We use a Rancilio Rocky, and until today, we grinded the coffee in 15-16 setting, but for the bottomless filter, the sweet spot is between 10 and 11. You also might need a better tamper, but not mandatory. After a couple of failed shots (watery and awful flavor), we just adjusted the diameter of the grinder and the pressure of the tamper to get pure joy of perfect espresso, 16grs of creamy perfection in 25 seconds extraction, enjoy!!!

IF YOU EXPERIENCE LEAKAGES, READ THIS
First, I am using this pf on a Delonghi Stilosa (EC260) - my overall experience of it is that it is excellent, and provides great and consistent espresso shots.I had one issue when first using it: the puck was only half extracted, some sharp spills and ages to get the coffee out. I then realised that my shower screen was too tight from the last clean, forcing water only on half of the puck.My guess is that the original pressurised basket is a lot more forgiving of this kind of issues, because you have to grind very coarse to get a shot in a decent time - this means that imbalance in the water pressure does not matter much as most of the resistance comes from the bottom of the puck / basket, not the top of the puck. After unscrewing the shower screen a little bit, and making sure the water flowed evenly, the pf worked perfectly well. I suspect, overloading the puck with too much coffee, or a dirty puck screen could create similar issues . Just to be clear: this issue will be the same for ANY bottomless pf vs a pressurised basket and has more to do with the poor design of the Stilosa.I 100% recommend this pf - it feels excellent quality and provides a significant upgrade over the Delonghi pressured basket, only caveat is that you have to be a lot more cautious about how you tinker with your Stilosa, especially after a clean.
