Refrigerant dye to find the smallest of leaks!
I have an issue with my refrigeration on our boat. We have paid to have repairs twice in the last two years. I finally decided to attempt the repairs myself, as the professional can't seem to fix it. I've purchased the other equipment I need to inspect/repair the system myself. Neither of the professionals we had out to work on the refrigeration had refrigerant dye to add to the system so we could find the actual leaks. They both fixed stuff they "thought" might be the leak, but time proved them both wrong. Adding dye to the refrigerant is a sure fire way to see exactly where the leak is, so it can be repaired.

Works great.
Big fan. I have used this product for a while and easy to use. My only critisism is the included directions. To be honest, they suck. A 1oz. bottle contains four treatments. I can tell you there are basically three ways to use it. If you are working on an A/C system that has no dye then inject 0.25 oz. into the system. If you are working on a vehicle that does not have UV dye added and are replacing a component (such as the compressor or condensor). Either add 0.25oz of dye directly into the new part, before installing it or mix 0.25oz. of dye to 8oz. of PAG 46 and inject the recommended amount of oil to the system, after the repairs are completed. If the manufacturer has already added dye to the A/C system and you are performing a repair or refill service, mix 0.25oz of dye to 12oz. of PAG 46.

Very visible
Tried a sniffer and couldn't find the leak. It came down to injecting this into the system and it showed up right away.

Good...opened product.
The UV dye seems like a good product. However, the packaging is not tamper evident. The first bottle was leaking out of the package when it arrive. I ordered a replacement and it was opened already. Leaking UV dye is never a great surprise.
