The media could not be loaded.  I just installed this lock (X series) on my front door and so far I'm very happy with it. The lock exudes quality; it's heavy and feels exceptionally well-made, much sturdier than my old Schlage. The installation was a breeze, no different from installing your regular mechanical lock. There's just one extra step of connecting the wires. If you are replacing your old lock, like I did, this one will slide right into place with no problems.Took me a little over 10 min. The lock comes with everything you'll need to install and start using it right away: 2 key fobs, a pair of emergency keys and all the hardware neatly bagged and labelled. They took great pains to provide exhaustive install instructions both printed and video. They even put a QR code sticker on the inside half of the lock which takes you to the install video on their website. The support is stellar; I had a question about the app and was chatting with a support technician (thank you, Angelica!) within a couple of minutes, if that. Incidentally, there are two android Sifely apps on Play, Sifely Smart Lock and Sifely MJRHOME. You can use both, and both concurrently if you wish, but they recommend the Smart Lock over MJRHOME because it's newer one of the two. The locking/unlocking is very smooth and self-explanatory, although they provide detailed instructions on that as well. I tried all methods and all worked without a hitch. I also got the optional gateway which I very much like. The setup and pairing were smooth and easy, everything just works out of the box, fingers crossed. Overall, a quality product, exceptionally well supported. Highly recommend

The media could not be loaded.  I waited for about 3 months of use before posting. Occasionally I will get a "failure" to read my fingerprint which takes only a couple seconds to try again and open. The fingerprint reader on my phone fails more often. I also tried to lengthen the duration before it locks but it still seems to do it within a matter of seconds after unlocking. But all in all, it works very reliably and looks sleek and high quality. The remainder of this was written immediately following installation.Installation was very easy. I chose to keep my existing strike plate on the door frame because the screw holes on the provided strike plate were spaced a little further apart than the existing holes.The rubber bumper on the front (keypad) side of the lock looks off-center to me despite several attempts to re-position and re-screw the unit. It also does not lie flush against my door on the back (battery) side. However, I can't say for sure whether these are issues with the lock or if my door is not perfect to begin with.There is one aspect of the setup process which I found irritating. For adding key fobs, passcodes, fingerprints I would get an "operation failed" message every time if I didn't first touch the keypad a couple times to "wake it up". I have installed a number of other smart home devices and found this to be unusually cumbersome and not intuitive to the user compared to other setups. However, this inconvenience is only relevant to initial setup, which is fairly quick to work through if you know these extra touches are necessary.It also was not intuitive which skill to enable in the Alexa app for voice control. The skill name is not stated in the instructions in the box, nor the instructions in the app. Following the QR code for FAQs from the instructions I found a video instruction that shows the skill is called ScienerSmart.I was surprised by how large/bulky the key fobs are. I expected them to be roughly the size of one of those little store loyalty cards that you can put on your keychain, with a little more thickness to it. See picture for size. It is quite large compared to anything else on my keychain.Also, in the app my gateway connection with my lock shows "weak". My gateway is in a room which is right next to the door. So if you plan to have your gateway located a considerable distance away from your door, the connection strength may not be adequate.I have used the physical key, key fobs, pin code, and fingerprint for entry. All are acceptable, but fingerprint is my preference (prefer not to dig out my keys for the key fob or physical key, and pin code takes a little more time to type in).

The media could not be loaded.  This lock is reliable and easy to install. I love how there are several options you can to open it: fingerprints, fob key, passcode, or physical key. I'd usually just set a certain number of 'burnable' passcodes which I can give out to someone in case I am not home and someone needs to access my room. Then I can just delete each time. You can also set passcodes with specific time duration, which is perfect for short-term rentals.You can customize whether you want the lock with voice prompt or not, but I actually prefer disabling the voice prompt because it can get annoying over time. The lock can also be customized on whehter or not it automatically locks everytime you close it, or if it will after a certain period of time, or if you just want to manually lock it each time (passage mode).Finally, this lock fits standard knob holes for doors. So no need to worry about making weird holes on your door which you can no longer undone later on in case you decide to change door knobs later on. So convenient!The only thing I'm kinda disappointed with is the inability to directly connect with wifi. You will have to purchase a separate device a.k.a. 'gateway' for it to be able to connect to wifi, so that you can control your lock remotely even when you are not home. It also keeps a log of who entered based on whose fingerprint/fob/passcode was entered.Overall, I highly recommend this lock! I hope they can incorporate camera/mic feature on it in the future just like ring doorbell.
