Dale Carnegie knew a thing or two!
This is a great book for people looking to hone their communications skills! Being unforgettable can be bad or good, but he does a good job keeping away from the dark side. It's all good stuff. I plan to keep it and read it a few more times! I'm actually reading 3 DC books and though they are written a long time ago, the messages are still timely and interesting. Making yourself unforgettable in a good way sounds hard, but taking baby steps, getting a handle on one behavior at a time is ok by me.I have started practicing some of what I have learned and hopefully I'll settle into it as a habit.I believe the easy-to-understand material speaks to any type of communicator, and anyone who does not feel confident about the impression you make, can easily change a couple things once the material sinks in!This information is invaluable for aspiring leaders!Recommend!

Good to be able to reread
Years ago, a gentleman who worked for me, had previously been an instructor for the Dale Carnegie Institute. He gave me all of the Carnegie books in hardcover. Unfortunately, over the course of 20+ years and multiple moves, I lost them. Now I have just purchased this one, and the others, in paperback.

A Calming and Encouraging Guide to Becoming Your Best Self
Does it matter if you are an optimist or a pessimist? This book explains that people with class face life differently and have a vision of how the world can be a better place. Some of the questions this book answers include:Why should your top priority be to be a great communicator? What do humans want most, beyond fame and money?Which communication skill makes the biggest difference in relationships? How do men and women approach a conversations differently? What are the six most important qualities of a world-class team builder?“Make Yourself Unforgettable” Is great for anyone, even though at times it seems written with business executives in mind. Some of this book deals more with business situations than personal life. Some tips from Dale Carnegie's original books are emphasized. Like smiling or remembering people's names. I will say that when I first read Dale Carnegie's books I did not agree that I should never criticize. But after a few years I've learned that compliments get more results over the long term and that criticism really is destructive in so many ways.By reading “Make Yourself Unforgettable,” you will realize all the ways you can improve your character and also how you can develop personal skills that will take you far in life.So most of this book is about developing a strong internal life that will show in your work ethic and personal life. There are also lots of ideas for how you can improve the lives of others through mentoring and charity.~The Rebecca Review

Sitting for 6-8 hours a day is bad for you circulation and muscles in general
I decided to take my health goals to the next level and decided to buy the Veridesk.Sitting for 6-8 hours a day is bad for you circulation and muscles in general. I use to find my self leaning over my computer and hunched over. With the adjustable desk it made me feel more alive and ready to roll. I seems to feel more natural to stand and work then to sit.I would highly recommend it to anyone and don't forget to purchase the matt to stand on for extra comfort.Secretly, I take off my shoes and roll a tennis ball under my feet to message them.I hope that helps.P.S. maybe your company would be willing to pay for it too.Bill C., N.Y. 😃🍀

inspiring
This book was not what I expected. It’s a common sense guide how to have a class as a person in today’s society. More people and a little more class the world would be a better place.

Disappointing
I expected this book to be actually written by Dale Carnegie, but upon closer look, no, it does not claim to be written by the famous man. It is unclear exactly who did author it. I assume a committee of writers from "Dale Carnegie Training" combined efforts, compiling thoughts from their mentor, Dale Carnegie. When I read the book, the advise seems good, but I keep wondering who'svoice am I hearing? Disappointing, to say the least.

excellent book
My father handed me Dale Carnegie's 'How to win friends and influence people' before joining college. Ever since that book has been a bible to me. I find this book also very useful book and would highly recommend to those that are motivated to improve on themselves, no matter how smart they are! Some principles are similar, but it also focuses on marketing yourself smartly and with ease.
