Simplistex® - 3x1 HDMI Switcher/Selector W/IR Remote Control - Supports 3D, 1080P

It doesn't switch between. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Not rocket science

This switch is well built and does what it's supposed to, it's nice to be able to remotely switch inputs - BUT although it worked fine with my old non-voice Fire Stick, it does not work with the new voice Fire Stick. Not a show-stopper, I have enough HDMI inputs on the TV to run a separate dedicated HDMI cable for the new Fire Stick, but if your TV has only one HDMI input and you use the new voice Fire Stick, you may be out of luck getting this switch to work - it did not work for me.The power light is very bright - I put a piece of tape over it. Also be aware, this switch is not rated for 4K, only 1080p.UPDATE: This HDMI switcher works fine with a newer Samsung TV and the new voice Fire Stick, although it did not work with an 8-year-old Vizio TV and the new voice Fire Stick, even though the old Fire Stick did work with the old Vizio TV.

This is a great little switcher. Quick notes:- It does do automatic switching, but that's been a great thing. Works flawlessly.- I have zero audio or video issues or any out of sync audio.I was replacing my old AV receiver/speaker setup with a soundbar. My TV only has two HDMI inputs, so I needed something to replace my AV receiver to act as the hub for my inputs.I have devices connected to all five inputs: a cable box, WiiU, Xbox 360, blu-ray player, and Apple TV. All of the devices work with no issue.The switcher does do automatic switching, where it automatically changes to an input when you turn on the device. I had been concerned about that, but it's worked very well. I rarely need to manually change the input with the included remote, because it also automatically switches "back" when you turn off a device.For example, if I am watching TV with my cable box and leave the cable box on, then turn on the WiiU is switches to the WiiU automatically. When I turn the WiiU off, after 5 or 6 seconds, it automatically switches back to the cable box.So this switcher has essentially eliminated the need for a universal remote too, since it handles input switching on its own and very well.Only con for me is the crazy bright red power light on the front, which is distracting in a dark room. You may also want to plan ahead with where you want to put this in your setup and invest in a few extra short HDMI cables if that suits your location, or you might have a lot of excess cords pulling on the switcher,Great product. Made my family room far less complicated.

I purchased this switch to use the single HDMI input on my monitor with both a TV set top box and a laptop. When switched to the set top box, the box returns the message "not HDCP (Copy Protection) supported", which renders the switch useless for my application. This limitation needs to be captured in the product description.

Works great, but not flawless. I had a manual HDMI switch before this, and got tired of getting up to switch devices. This solved the problem so I certainly recommend it. I only give it 4 stars instead of 5 because there have been a few random occasions where it wouldn't change source via remote and I had to manually press the switch on the box. Not sure what caused it, but the few times I've had to do that, it's remedied the problem.To put it simply. I'd buy one again.

Splitter itself works well. Great quality AV with minimal lag. All the ports being on one side keeps it uncluttered and the 5V power can use a USB cable. The remote does not work, but it's not much trouble to go and push the button.

DOES NOT WORK WITH (ORIGINAL 2013) CHROMECAST!Otherwise Excellent selector! I have used it with my desktop PC, Raspberry Pi 2&3, NES Classic, and Amazon Firestick and for those, it works very well. For Raspberry Pi, be sure the indicator is on the port to which your Raspberry Pi is connected before powering on your Raspberry Pi.

I've only had it a couple for days but so far so good. It seems well built, full metal casing, got some weight to it. The cables plug in firmly. On/Off Switch is a plus as many switchers do not have said switch. Low Profile with all cables in the back design allows for easily tucking it under the screen. I've already filled all 5 ports with 2 Gaming PCs, Blu-Ray Player, Chromecast and Amazon Firestick. All are working well thru the switch. The red power LED is a little bright but a small piece of tape will remedy that minor detail. The green LEDs for the selection indicator seems fine, not distractingly bright. BTW - I'm not one of those compensated reviewers, I'm just a dude who needed an HDMI switch. :)
