Better than the Pica Dry
I was on the fence between this carpenter pencil and the Pica Dry. After using both, I think the Tracer is absolutely the better product. The Tracer feels like it is higher quality and it is definitely designed better. The Pica Dry actually jammed up within the first couple days of using. That has not been the case with the Tracer. The Tracer is better designed because it doesn't require you to carry around the protective sleeve. You can just clip it to your pocket. If you're on the fence like I was, just purchase the Tracer. You won't be disappointed.

Thickness of the lead and durability.
Love it, led if thick and won't break as easily as a carpenter's pencil, sharpener integrated on the case is an A+. Love it wish I had bought is way before.

Great pencil for daily jobsite use
Doesn't fall out of my pocket or fall apart altogether and the sharpener is accessible with the holster still in my pocket, unlike other brands I have tried.I wish I could leave a little lead out when putting back in the holster and that it sat a bit deeper in my pocket, but those are minor gripes. Overall great product.
