A reasonably heavy, expensive machine that punches well but has a number of design faults:....the unnecessary paper-centring device has a creaky operating dial and the setting is inaccurate - the paper is punched so that the first slot is open to the outside. This can be overcome by opening the gap between the centering blocks to give a few mm of clearance at each side, putting the paper in, ensuring that its snug up against the left-hand stop and experimenting with the setting so that the punched holes really are central. To save the setting I filed up a small block of plastic and used it as a chock fitted between the left-hand centering block and the end of the groove in which it sits. No more trouble.....the forks that open the combs are too thick, making the use of small sizes very, very difficult indeed. In addition, one needs lots of patience to assemble any binding that's close to the limit of its holding capacity.Did the designer of this machine ever use it? Let's hope that, despite its faults, it lasts. I nearly sent it back.
