Q: Should the batteries be charged prior to first use?

Being in the mobile DJ business, I never trust pre-charged batteries. I always charge them when initially received. All batteries had various levels of charge, yet none were 100% charged.

Q: Would the C batteries be good to use in a Feit flashlight?

I don't know about a "Feit" flashlight but you should know that these types of batteries don't give a full 1.5 volts each. So if that light is electronic these batts may not work in it. The4y actually really only give about 1.3 or .4 volts when fully charged.

Q: How long does a charge usually last? I want to use them in a water lantern which stays on for 6 hours at a time.

I use mine in L.E.D. candles which are lit about 5 hours a day and they last approximately 30 days on one charge.

Q: Can I use them immediately or do they need to be charged first ?

Mine arrived pre-charged. Used them for about 2 1/2 - 3 hours continuously the first time with no problem. However, to be on the safe side, I did get them fully charged right after. Judging on my experience so far, I've only had them for a few days, I say these batteries are an excellent investment - rather than buying any of the 2 "highly rated" non-rechargeable batteries people normally buy. I'll do an update after 6 months.
