Not as bad as I'd thought based on other reviews
I was surprisingly pleased with this model. Other reviewers (from the Poe version) said that the wings did not flush closed, but I didn't experience this. Using some nice sprue cutters, I was able to complete the model in an hour or so. The only tricky part of the assembly was connecting the "x wings" together. Make sure you match the bump on the lower wing to the indent on the upper wing for the left side of the x wing, turbines and cockpit facing you (pointed out by a pin needle in my picture). Maybe the other reviewers hadn't connected the wings together this way and thus experienced the flushing issue. Using nice sprue cutters to get rid of any protruding plastic might have helped to get a "cleaner" fit between parts as well. I regret not having a sprue cutter for my Special Forces Tie Fighter. Revell rated the SF Tie Fighter as a level 2 assembly, but I would've rated the Resistance X Wing as a 2.5, only because of the tricky wing assembly. Just use sprue cutters and be wary of the wing assembly (the instructions could have been better because I had not noticed the bump/indent on the wings). Good luck!

Good pre-painted kit by Revell!
So far, this is probable the largest "Force Awakens" resistance X-wing model kit on the market. The pre-painting is good. If you have younger collectors in the family, they will love the "snap" assembly. Kit parts fit well with no issues. If you want a more accurate kit at a smaller scale you can try the Bandai kit, but I prefer this for the larger scale. If you want something to assembly quick and put on you desktop, this will work. If you have some patience you can dirty down or "weather" your kit. The only thing missing is a pilot figure and some decals, but otherwise I am satisfied.Thanks.

It's okay but I was disappointed. Paint job is sloppy in places (e.g., canopy trim has a paint smear, the BB8 has a huge black smear where his "eye" is supposed to be) - I'm going to have to touch it up, which is all right I suppose since I planned on weathering it. The worst thing about the model is the wings don't shut the way they're supposed to. If you're only going to display it in flight mode I guess that's not an issue but if you want the wings closed you'll be disappointed. Despite the fact that it's a snap kit, i would recommend gluing it.

Good Deal! Good Seller!
I knew the product was used when I bought it. Buying used is always a bit scary but this product was perfect. It had all the parts and was in perfect condition. Great deal!!

This is not a bad kit, but I don't understand why Revell has ...
If you want a Revell X-Wing for yourself, go with the 1/30 model kit. If you want this for your kid, go for the level-1 Build & Play kit. The Build & Play kit comes with pre-cut parts and sound effects. This is not a bad kit, but I don't understand why Revell has this series. May be an intro to traditional model kits that you have to cut each piece off the molded frame?
