My gastroenterologist recommended Miralax to me because a medication that I take causes me to have severe constipation. She felt this would be the best laxative for me because it works naturally with one’s body and typically doesn’t have any bad side effects. My primary doctor agreed that this laxative would be best for me. When I discovered the Amazon ClearLax brand (which has the same active ingredients), I shifted to it because it’s a much better value. My husband also uses it occasionally. ClearLax has worked just as well for us as the brand name version.Last year when we were travelling abroad to visit my family, for the first time my husband was stopped at the security check (though we have Global Entry) and a long process ensued because they wanted to chemically test the bottle of Clearlax in his hand luggage to ensure it didn’t provide a safety risk. We had to wait while they brought someone from the lab in to do this. Then they also examined everything else in his suitcase. We were delayed for over an hour.In preparing for our travels this year, I discovered that ClearLax comes in travel size, single dose sealed packets. So far, this has solved the problem we faced on our previous trip. These small separate packets have the added advantage of being easy to find room for in our carry-on suitcases.

I have been using for 3 years. Originally started with brand name,but these are perfect equivalent. Keeps you regular!

The thick plastic enveloped are hard to open without tools (I use a rounded children's scissors) despite the little slot cut into the corner. I don't have the superman hand strength needed for opening these packets. Despite that, these are convenient for travel, though TSA may freak out about how these look on x-ray, especially if you're carrying a bunch of them. Just let them do their theatre performance; applaud & tip as you would a street performer (sarcasm).

The cost of the product isabout 1/2 that of the name brand product of the same ingredients.Since the product is in a packet it is very easy to use, either at home or on the road. They performance is about the same as the Name Brand of the same ingredients. These are easy to mix and clarify, if mixed with warm water, stirred and allowed to clear. A cold water mixture does not mix and clarify as well and experience shows that it does not completely disolve leaving a residue on the glass. Which is the same result with the High Price Brand.We're happy with the product and it performs the same as the Name brand.

I purchased this for a vacation because I had no idea when I would be able to drink my daily dose. And you know how traveling is. Everything binds up which can lead to misery. But I digress. Having the pre measured packets was great. Just kept one in my purse, and during lunch discreetly stirred it into a glass of water. Did this twice on a plane. Just be careful when opening the packet because once on the plane it kind of exploded a bit and I had to scrape it off the airplane tray. But not as embarrassing! It’s not like I pulled a BOTTLE of the stuff out of my purse. And the packets are good to go for TSA! And this brand was just as good as the name brand! Highly recommend!
