2023 update: Still going strong after 3 years of heavy daily use. Great purchase, but don't rely on the solar part.2020 Review: Large capacity battery. Supplied flat so need a 4 hour charge before use. The recharge from a high capacity USB mains adaptor is slower than other power banks (even at 1.5 amps). The solar recharge is next to useless. Left in sun all day and does not even move up one led but does show it is working by flashing its led indicator. Suspect a full solar recharge will take 4-5 days in full Sun. Supplied with 2 USB full outputs but the input is strangely micro USB rather than a USB C. Disappointed overall but was on super special price.

Easily charges 2 phones with power to spare. Ignore power lights on first charge. I just left it charge overnight for the first one. When you unplug it all lights go on. It's normal after that. Been a life saver. Bought a second as a gift.

First thoughts:ProsBest used to top up or trickle charge a device when using solar power.High capacity power bank.Very simple to use.Additional charge method with the photovoltaic cells on the top.Charge two devices at once.ConsNew version is still microUSB input charging which is quite slow.Solar charging is still very slow but the panel hasn't changed from their 2020 version.I’ve been using their first version (black) for a couple of years, and now have the 2022 version (I’m wondering if it’s just the colour that’s been updated though).Still a good high capacity power bank and the addition of solar charging comes in very useful in certain scenarios e.g. I put mine in a sports armband with a clear window, which I then strap to the top of my expedition pack. This allows me to charge it while out trekking for long periods, or to keep a navigation device topped up (constant connection). I also sit these in my open ground station case while conducting drone flight operations.The main gripe for me remains that it is incredibly slow to charge via solar from zero to full (I’d be lucky to achieve this during a single day of daylight exposure), and it’s quite slow to charge even by microUSB.Details and things to note (See pictures):26800mAh capacity which is a reasonable amount for its size.1x microUSB input for charging and 2x USB-A output ports for charging other devices.Photovoltaic panel on the top surface of the power bank to convert light energy into electricity to charge the power bank.There are 4x LEDs next to the charge ports which indicate the charge status and remaining charge (they flash to indicate charge level when being charged and remain solid to show power remaining when charging a device).There is a wake up button on the side that can be pressed to light up the LEDs and check the remaining charge.Final thoughts:I find this power bank to be most useful when I charge it manually and use it as a standard power bank, or to charge it manually and then keep it topped up via solar or trickle charge devices while using solar power. This has turned out to be the most efficient way to manage power storage when mains charging isn’t possible.I drained the power bank to zero and tried charging to 100% by solar and it took an eternity to get to around 50% while trekking in and out of direct sunlight. I can achieve faster charging if I’m able to keep it in direct sunlight (e.g. leaving it out in the open or on the car dashboard) but that’s not always practical when used outdoors.I’d still recommend this if you intend to use it in a similar way, but it loses a star from my original review because this 2022 version doesn’t seem to have been enhanced much from two years previous.If you want to read my original Feb 2020 5 Star short review, you can find it below:So far so good.Arrived quickly & used it the next day on a 3 day camp/hike. Charges well by USB, left it on the car dashboard while out hiking & it charged to 75% by solar then charged up two phones below 20% to full & one head torch with no issues.Only thing I could complain about is the instructions relating to On/Off, discharging & charge indicators. These way over complicate what seems to be a fairly simple device. I'd disregard them & use as you'd expect & ignore the power button the unit has. Remember it will give a visual charge indicator if it is exposed to natural light (solar charging).Need to find a windowed pouch so I can attach it to the top of my rucksack so it charges while out hiking.

26500 mAh ! and with a solar panel, excellent. With this you are no longer tied to an a.c. socket outlet and have full mobile freedom.Massive power out if needed would cover most if not all portable devices and there are a couple of USB outputs should you wish to charge more than one device. You can even rig up a USB AA/AAA battery charger from this if you want to charge up your torch or headlamp batteries so it is a nicely versatile device.After use you can put it on the outside of your bergen / backpack so it can recharge itself as you walk about so no need to be caught without power. It charges a Samsung S9 in no time (with the phone set to quick charge in its menu) and has a good 75 to 80% of its power left remaining after doing so, excellent.All in all a great charger plus power store. Excellent.

Well built, but charges very slowly via solar power. So far from 1 bar, it's taken c18hrs so far to charge 1.5 bars. Bit disappointed about this, but so long as it charges then I'm ok with that.>>> EDIT: 2020-05-29Solar charging is very, very, very.... slow. During the sunny lockdown period in the UK, I left the charger on a window sill... 2-3 weeks later, from 1 bar, it's only flashing at 3 bars.>>> EDIT: 2022-12-31Battery started to gradually lose its ability to retain charge so much that eventually, it’s performance was so poor. I ended up recycling the darn thing. Avoid. Do not buy. Waste of money.

This is the third one I have purchased and will possibly be my last! The first one I purchased I used for three months in Greece, and as almost all negative reviews have stated, the solar charge is useless and you shouldn’t purchase if you are relying on that element. However I have found the charging is slow but eventually does charge. All that said it’s the charging cable that is the problem I have had, after about a year the first two cables started to split at each end, exposing the wire eventually breaking and one burnt out the usb plug. It would be good if cables are more robust or supplied with a spare! If this one does the same I will give up on this device. That aside it’s a good battery and charges devices fast the worry is the cable, both for charging the bank and more worrying potential fire risk.

Excellent power bank, it will take a few months to charge from the sun, but when fully charged the Solar panel keeps it topped up, will charge iPhone several times and is just a little bigger than my iPhone, fits easily in a bag or your pocket. Would recommend buying one ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
