Go Veggie Lactose Free Cheddar Style Singles, 7.3 Ounce (Pack of 12)

I like the non-dairy cheese alternative just fine. I've used it for years but can no longer find it where I live. The only problem I had, and it is a small one, is that I ordered the cheddar variety which this review is asking about but I received the American cheese variety.

This is the only lactose free/non dairy cheese my mind likes and it is nearly impossible to find for the past couple of years. She sweats it out when she gets down to a few packs and it's not back in stock!! She says it's soft like real cheese and also melts when she wants it too.

Ordered cheddar b/c it tastes and melts better. Don't want American!!!! It's packaged GREAT and all else is great but please send the correct product. Expensive!!! But you are paying for the "free shipping" lol, and the 2 ice packs, lol. My stores just don't carry Cheddar. It has mono fats and, besides sodium, it's a great cheese substitute. NOT a vegetarian but totally welcome the lack of sat fats and addition of the monos. :) Bring on my fave grilled cheese...if I ever get cheddar.

Best dairy free melty cheese ever!

I love Go Veggie lactose-free products. However, there's a lot of confusion about whether these are dairy free/vegan - *they are not*, they are simply lactose-free (lactose is only one constituent of milk - other milk constituents are used to make this product). I am vegan otherwise - I make an acception for Go Veggie lactose-free cheese since vegan cheeses turn my stomach, and these totally satisfy my craving for regular cheese.

GoVeggie is hard to get in my area. It's the best tasting of all of the cheese alternatives. I just wish I didn't have to buy such a large quantity.
